I was impressed on the play on the sideline where he knocked the tackler off of him with his right arm. Jeanty is a beast. He isn't falling in the draft.

They would draft him because they need him and he would be bpa when they pick.
He would be but sometimes you need to actually do the work. There are at least 10 backs in the draft that are better than Rico. You might be able to get two good runners later in the draft while picking defensive lineman and linebacker early. You can’t draft like you are playing Madden. These whiz kid GMs are eating the Joneses alive. Finally make a trade that actually make sense. Jerry is playing GM like it’s a video game.

The scary thing about Jeanty is that most draft nicks believe he is a top 5 player in the 2025 draft. That makes me more afraid about the lack of talent in this draft.

On the other hand if you are a Jeanty fan he now has a chance to be available at our current draft position. I was afraid he would go for a buck fifty and 3 touchdowns. Then he would have become a top 7 pick.
I wouldn't draft draft Jeanty over Pearce and Jeanty is projected to go 10 picks ahead of Pearce. Jeanty is a very good player, but I think he is bit overrated and overvalued. I think Elliott was much better prospect in 2016, and that draft was similar to this

I rewatched the game on Monday. The Cowboys had guys open on almost every throw. Rush either didn't see them or couldn't get the ball to them. He is simply a limited QB and won't ever be more than a backup.

Way to go out on a limb there.
He was saying the the same thing when Prescott was QB. He is just being an apologist for our sub par WR corps

I can see the Cowboys missing out on the top 3 RBs in this draft.
Jeanty goes before our 1st
Hampton goes before our 2nd
Kaleb Johnson goes before our 3rd.

I am thinking Johnson might go before Hampton. Or they go close together.

3.5 yards per carry. Did he just benefit from playing poor competition?
Probably.

Just check out Boise's schedule, chock full of second-rate teams like San Diego state. No way they should have been in the playoffs, rated far too high.

But you never know, been a few NFL running backs that played for small teams, like Walter Payton, that were top NFL backs.

Just wouldn't draft him higher than 2nd round....

Is Oregon a second-rate team? Did Josh Allen play against second-rate teams? How about Randy Moss?

The way I see it........he did just what you would expect to smaller teams....dominated.

The same Mike Green, DE, Marshall who led college football with 19 sacks.

Ehh as much as I don’t want to draft a RB in the top 50, trying to judge Jeanty off of this 1 game is pretty silly. Penn State just has bigger and better athletes than Boise State and went into the game with the 1 goal of shutting down Jeanty. I don’t think any RB would have had success in the same scenario.

Jeanty is a better human being by all accounts. Jerry can sell that. Cowboys nation overrates Zeke. He had one special season and that was behind the best offensive line in football and it was not close to what Barkley is doing now. Zeke also played for a loaded Ohio State team.

I would not draft a running back in the first three rounds because there are like 10 backs plus that can be solid in this league but I think the Joneses are about marketing first. Jeanty will probably be the pick unless a better player falls. Pearce is not what the Joneses are looking for. They trying to sell the number 2 jersey unfortunately.

That's my opinion. I wanted see him against a real defense. and it was about what I thought. He's no Barry Sanders. He's a good running back and I'm sure he'll have a nice pro career but not a top 20 pick.

Give me another year of Dowdle and Skatebo in round 3.

I think he was either the first or second player to rush for over 100 yards against the PSU defense this season.
