Ask Dak's agent if he would be open to a trade?

I would not trade him and make him play on the tag for a year. At best see what Dak can do with big mike as coach. At worst see what Dalton can do in big mike's scheme.

They knew what the price was gonna be for a top 12ish qb. Either pay him or why didn't you trade him last season?

It couldn't hurt to ask dak's agent if he would be open to a trade. Maybe the prospect of losing all his flashy toys would clear his head a bit.
ok, who is the trading partner? and who would trade for a QB, that has no contract and is asking for $35M per year......if he was available as a FA it would be different, but as a trade, no one is going to give you a first round pick and then give up money as well. its one or the other.

Jets? Who said we have to ask for a first? An extension would be apart of any trade.

There is no way in hell Dak would ever agree to that even if you could get the Jones boys to agree to it. Dak isn't going to get a better offer than what he's already received in Dallas. He's not taking less at this point.

Neither side has that as an option so just forget about it.

Jets!? who drafted Darnold? really!!! WOW. and if we don't ask for a first, at least a first, then we are utterly without a doubt stupid....utterly stupid

So this is what happens when you know you’re on the losing side and there’s nothing you can do about it.

Facts, stats, reality... none of them are on your side. Dak will make at least $31m in 2020 alone, to play for the Dallas Cowboys and nobody else.

Only option left for these lowly imbeciles: convene on CowboysZone and cry together about it like some *****es!

Dak wins. His haters lose. Because winners win and losers lose.

Prepare for disappointment if you are wanting that to happen.

Hey clueless, check this out. And by the way, every NFL game is against 2 tough teams. These are the best of the best.

Dak has had the same problems Romo had. Questionable coaching, a spongy defense and untimely penalties. And when you add in the piss poor special teams units from last year you get 8-8. But the naysayers are blaming that 8-8 solely on Dak like Garrett wasn't here last year or something.

While exploring a trade isn;t a bad idea it is too late as Dallas would have had to have done that before the draft so as to utilize draft resources received for Dak to replenish the roster.
