IMHO opinion, donald fits 4 teams. Dallas, Tampa, Atlanta and Tennessee. Most 4-3 teams in the nfl actually go bigger. And chicago is headed for a 3-4 so drafting Donald would not be a good thing for them. Dallas best option if they were targeting Donald would be a trade down. The majority of the teams behind Dallas are 3-4 teams. Trade down and get him and extra picks.

The same hype was made of Donald right after the SR bowl and then Broaddus came out and said the higher ups in Dallas arent sold on Donald. The spandex olympics isnt going to change that perception. I think they do like him, but i dont think they like him at 16. Once the hype from the combine wears off Donald will go back to being a bottom of RD1 prospect he's been this whole time except for the week after the SR Bowl and This week after the combine.

If Martin or Lewan are there at 16 im willing to put money on it the Cowboys either trade down, or pick one of them over Donald.

And I would be fine with either of those picks also. OL is always a good pick. I also like the fact Martin is versatile OL guy.

You guys may be projecting Donald too early, imo.

This 1st round is loaded. One or two of these DTs (Nix, Hageman, Donald, Jernigan, Tuitt ) is going to fall all the way into the mid 2nd rd. This is especially possible becasue guys like Easely, Quarles and others can be had much later.

If we don't take Donald at 16, he could fall a long way.

I realize that he would be a great fit, but we may end up--with a couple of trades--being able to get two good ones early...say Pryor and Donald.

I'm a fan of the trade down. A late 1 and 2 for our 16 would be nice.Maybe SD, Cle or NO.

Who will be available? Simply eliminate who will not be there, and then you have a real good idea of what the pick looks like.

QB- Bortles, Manziel, Bridgewater ----- 3

OL- Robinson, Matthews ----- 5

LB\DE - Clowney, Barr, Mack ----- 8

WR\TE- Ebron,Watkins---- 10

S\CB - Dix, Dennard, Gilbert----- 13

Donald and Ealy likely get picked right in front of us by the Bears and Steelers.
That would really suck, but maybe we get lucky.
Who is left? In no particular order....

1) Donald -DT
2) Ealy-DE
3) Jernigan-DT
4) Lewan-OT
5) Nix-DT
6) Mosley-LB
7) Pryor-S
8) Ford-DE
9) Martin - OL

So the pick will likely be
DL: Jernigan or Nix
S: Pryor
or Trade Back

not a bad list.

not sure about Ealy or Donald to steelers, neither really fits their defense, except maybe ealy as an WOLB. I

Donald to the bears is a huge possibility, so if that's the player we want, we might have to trade up with the rams to get him and not sure what the cost would be.

I can see steelers going for nix, as a NT or with Dixon or Pryor as safties to replace palumalu.

so the question is what's the difference between Jerrigan and Donald?

for a 4th, I may trade up to get Donald.

for a 3rd, I will stay with jerrigan.

our other choice would be pryor..

any of those would make me happy

I wouldn't be opposed to trading back if we (meaning our awesome scouting department) see the value still being there that they are after.

Would be great if Ealy slid back to the second round.

I didn't add Evans Or lee b/c hopefully we aren't drafting a WR, unless we are dealing DEZ on draft day.

Why not ? The lion have CJ and are rumored to be targeting a WR @10 . There is no doubt Evans would be a huge upgrade over Terrence Williams . I like Williams but having two #1's is better .

Yep, not my first choice . Mine are Donald or Pryor , but , if they are gone I'm taking Mosley or Evans without hesitation . Watch Jerry's interview he ruled out S, CB , RB , QB, TE already in the first . So that alone eliminates many choices in the first . They've interviewed Evans twice already .

Because spending a high 1st rounder on a WR is a waste of a draft pick.

The best WRs are 1st round picks . Rice , CJ , Irvin , Moss etc . Talent is talent if Evans is the BPA you take him . 16 isn't a " high " 1st rounder it's MID 1st . You don't really have a valid premise to say it's a waste of a pick .

I don't like Mosley in the mid 1st at all. Maybe I need to see a lil tape on him but as of now his combine numbers are not 1st round. I'M HOPING FOR Donald with good looking players like Dix, the Michigan OT Taylor Lewan and even the other tackle that plays guard Zack Martin.

Oh, have you heard my premise? I wasn't aware we had talked about this before.

Also, to be clear, I didn't say a WR is a waste of a pick. I said taking one early, at 16 IS early for a WR, is a waste of a pick - particularly if you already have a skilled receiver on the roster.

Drafting a WR at 16 when you already have Dez Bryant and a serviceable #2 on the roster is Millen-esque, unless your goal is simply to sell more merch.
