:yourock:Between Randal's stupidity and Murray shopping himself for every dollar he can get, Ryan Williams is a very happy man at this point in free agency. :yourock:

I actually have a bit of hope for Randle and Williams..but if AP is available pull the trigger. Just not over Hardy.

I wonder if the coaches believe they can use a combination of Williams and Randle and get more than enough production out of the two, with a little Dunbar sprinkled in, that this is the reason they're not worried about not over paying for a FA RB.

As a pure runner, Williams is really good.
Pass blocking and durability are the potential issues.

I hear from the Ranch that he is really working on that this off season. The Cowboys gave him
some money to resign because they view him as a potential piece to the puzzle this year.

I'd be excited too if I were Ryan Williams it would mean I could finally be off the practice squad and upgraded to one of the inactive guys on the 53

Ryan Williams was once a highly touted RB out of college not long ago. If that knee is fully ready, he could be a tremendous addition.

Looks like he made the right choice sticking with Dallas after all.

If they do, they are insane.

Maybe so.

Before this last season you didn't have people falling all over themselves at the greatness of Demarco Murray either.

He was just a nice back who couldn't stay healthy.

Now he's had a great year, in a contract year no less, and all the sudden he's the most amazing player in the world at the position and he just can't be replaced.

Could be that's the plan until draft day, and see how we can improve even further.

I was not a fan of getting AP, if available. But now, I wouldn't oppose it, since it seems Murray won't be back. For a 2 or 3 year deal at the most, and not via trade.

I'm betting Williams will be #1 or #2 in 2015.

As tight as many fans think Dallas is being in FA, there's a reason they gave him a fairly nice contract off the practice squad....that is rare indeed. And I wouldn't read too much into his spending the year on the practice squad. No. Matter how he impressed on the practice field, there was no reason to move him to the 53 last year. Clearly, the team was on a roll, and coaches were not giving anyone more than 2-3 of Murray's carries no matter what last year.

I would actuallybe excited about a competition and shared plays between Williams, Randal, and Spiller. With Spiller, Dunbar would be gone, but I think it's much more likely to be Williams, Randal, and a draft pick (not a first rounder).

Nice summary...

Exactly. Romo isn't getting any younger and any more mobile, so I don't really care to see him go down because our runningback can't pick up a blitz.

RB produce quicker then other positions

If Williams was so highly coveted by the Cowboys, he would have been added to the team last year. You mean he couldn't take the spot of Dunbar, someone who rarely saw the field? Come on.

Williams in no way will be the starter next season.
