At least one Cowboy must love what he's seeing in free agency

I wonder if the coaches believe they can use a combination of Williams and Randle and get more than enough production out of the two, with a little Dunbar sprinkled in, that this is the reason they're not worried about not over paying for a FA RB.

Don't forget the draft, too.

Maybe so.

Before this last season you didn't have people falling all over themselves at the greatness of Demarco Murray either.

He was just a nice back who couldn't stay healthy.

Now he's had a great year, in a contract year no less, and all the sudden he's the most amazing player in the world at the position and he just can't be replaced.

This is true, and the OL will make any back with reasonable ability work in this system. Remember the offense was awfully plain as well last season bc of the power run strength, but this OL can also get out and move. Doesn't require "a pile of dust" to pick up running yards every time. I would like the team try to incorporate a real 3rd down back going forward (draft or Jacquez Rodgers once price drops) to embrace this mainly under utilized strength of the OL (agility). Murray was a good pass catcher and third down back as well, but feel the team should have rotated to keep his legs fresher.
