So now the playoffs are the difference as to whether a team is good or not? What if we make it to the playoffs and get fire kicked out of our azz, does that make us a good team cause we made it or a team in a crappy division and someone had to go. The Giants are done this year, so are the Commanders and a bunch of other teams, difference being when the Giants gpt there they were able to something with it, twice in the last ten years, we have nothing to show for any trips to the playoffs except we made it. That is what some of us don't understand the smack talk for, its like picking a fight with a bigger kid, getting your but kicked and then getting up and saying he hits like a girl. Its so pathetic that all the bigger kid can do is walk away because he already won, and from all the people I have seen get beat up and say they can take a punch, point is they still got beat up. In this case our team for some of us have accomplished nothing for us to be running our mouths to anyone and believe me when the Cowboys are on top I am one of the most obnoxious fans in America, but right now!!! I'm quiet because there is absolutely nothing to be proud of or even to look forward to, we can't even say wait until next year because Jerry will still be alive. For us its wait for five or ten years depending on father time and Jerry Jr.

I wish I could like this 10 times.

To think anyone is "stalking" other teams is ridiculous. They are in OUR Division & it's a team we've SWEPT this season. We can't even gloat a little about that?

Not really, we swept them the year they beat us in the playoffs and won the super bowl also. Were acting like fans of teams that beat the Cowboys and it is their whole season, their playoffs, super bowl and everything in that one win. Not like a team that has been there before but if all we have are those two wins then go for it, as for me when the Cowboys were winning I didn't care what anyone said I'd beat them with the facts which is my team won the super bowl, is better than yours and 31 other teams and will do it again next year. LOL

Gloating is all fine and dandy when the Cowboys have something to gloat about, and so far they don't. That's my point.
They swept the Giants. The gloating was on the Giants QB. Your point is rejected.

No it's not pretty simple, it's pretty pathetic to talk smack about another team with all of the problems that this team currently has. This team hasn't accomplished anything in 3 years and some of you have the nerve to talk smack about other teams failures. Very sad indeed.

That statement infers that you are sticking up for other teams. But, logic does not seem to be your friend.

Good lord, it's a waste of time trying to explain logic to the illogical. Done with this thread ( which was done with good intentions but was ruined by people with separate agendas. ).

Are you serious with this post? Your standard for gloating is beating a team twice, what about getting to the playoffs? What about getting to the NFC championship game? What about getting to a Super Bowl? What about winning a Super Bowl? Is beating the Giants twice your standard for winning? If so, that's really lame.

It's so funny how you can't make a coherent argument without using a fallacious ad hominem attack, but by all means, continue with your rambling.

Go make threads about all those other topics if you don't like this one.

By any normal standard of fandom we sure can gloat. And we really ought to gloat about a rival team's QB pathetic season when he happens to be a player that has been venerated on this forum by "Cowboy fans."

Here we are on a forum for fans of the Dallas Cowboys and we have numerous posters who predictably post a myriad of times offering praise and adoration for that clown QB and then when others post about E-Lie's numerous failures they whine and complain about the posts and threads. All they want are positive posts about the division rival QB they adore. Oh, and then they try to convince others that they really are Cowboy fans of the highest sort.

You can talk all the **** you want about Eli, the fact is, he's a legend with his two rings, Romo is just a good fantasy football QB>

Haaaa he told a funny, no one even says anything good about the guy, just his rings and that he has them. As far as fans... I don't know you nor you me so I can't comment on that other than here. My family and friends know who my team is as yours does you. Rest don't matter, no one knows why a discussion comes up about a QB from a different team every week when ours is only a stat machine that half the board does and the other half doesn't trust. Know one counted on Eli till his first, the second made anyone that appreciates getting the #^#% kicked out of you week in and week out, then have the world talk bad about you, go out there and shut every freaking body up twice deserves his due. This isn't panzie ball it's football and QBs get reminded daily. Romo may get his and feel vindicated himself but you must think its easy to get beat down like that and come back not just physically but mentally and kill when they needed you. Let us see Romo do that twice and people will be naming their kids after him. I don't think any of us hate Romo, to me it's more disappointment that I don't blame him for, (Jerry). I think we all see or saw greatness in him and that is why it is so frustrating, disappointing, disgusting, disturbing,,, that we are watching this. A lot of us were here pre- 1-15 during the good times and, shoot there really weren't any real bad times, we may have got a little down but we were the cowboys that when we came back we killed the men, ravaged the women and burned the town down when we left. We never worried about losing because they were always gearing up for a 4 or 5 year domination stretch and they were just sharpening their claws in those 2 dry years before dynasties. Now Rome has crumbled and Ceasar is playing his flut or harp or whatever the hell it is and we have a front row seat to not only the defeat but downfall of Rome. JERRY JONES, and we are dying with it.

Sorry bout the ramble, watching this team is just so disappointing some times, and worse I think we all know they could do better...

It's one thing to laugh at Eli and all his problems this year. I admit I laugh at that too. He's having an awful year and I love it. But putting him down in order to make our QB look better is something different. Whether anyone likes it or not, Eli has accomplished more than Romo has. He's a two time SB MVP and nobody can take that away from him no matter how bad the rest of his career is.

Lol at the Romo bashers. Talk to me when Romo actually has a defense out of the bottom 15 and we'll see where this team is at.
Giants had the 27th ranked defense when they won the Super Bowl. Can we talk now?

You have it backwards here. Nobody does this when it comes to Romo and E-Lie. Its those who elevate E-Lie to something he isnt that do it in order to bash our QB and thats the problem. E-Lie is Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Mark Rypien, etc., except he has 2 instead of one ring. He is not a legend. He is not a HOF QB. He is not on par with Joe Montana as one poster tried to argue as he was getting kicked to the curb and just reached farther and lower in a vain attempt to justify his sinking position that has been exposed numerous times.

The Lovers of E-Lie here have dreamed up all kinds of ridiculous reasons such as "significant spotlight" games, or "elimination" games, or even something as ridiculous as claiming Romo feels the pressure in the "big TV audience" games to degrade Romo in an attempt to create some image of E-Lie that is pure fantasy. And for what reason? To somehow "prove" they are some odd type of "realistic Cowboy fan."

Sorry but 2 SB MVP's say something different. I don't really think he's a HOF qb at this point but I think he's a lot closer to Jim Plunkett than Trent Dilfer.

In yardage you mean. I'm sure you are aware of it by now but yardage is considered a poor measurement because it has little to no correlation with winning football games.

2011 they were 16th in passer rating allowed and 10th in ypa allowed.

2007 they were 14th in passer rating allowed and 8th in ypa allowed.

That's just the regular season. During the playoffs in their two superbowl runs they allowed exactly 14.0 points per game with a high water mark of 20.

To put that into context the Seahawks currently allow 14.6 points per game which is the best mark in the NFL.

Keep in mind in no year since 2007 have we finished the season with a passer rating allowed of above or equal to 16th. Also the Giants have the low water mark at least in terms of winning the Superbowl. Every other Superbowl winner finished the season at least top 10.

In the past 10 years 50% of the Superbowl winners have been top 5 in passer rating allowed and 80% have been top 10. The only two exceptions are the Giants and they got an excellent postseason performance from their defense.

There was nothing better against those fools than beating them in their house, knowing that they can't do anything about it until approximately 365 days from that date.
