At Least Romo does not have 25 INT's

It amazes me how many people don't realize that football is a team sport. You have 22 starters between offense and defense people...

QBs don't succeed or fail by themselves.

Does our QB have flaws? Of course he does. Is our QB good enough to win with? Of course he is.

Our defense is rated 32nd in the NFL. Our best kick returner/punt returner is injured. Our #2WR has been a joke all season minus week 1.

Our HC/OC refuses to run the football, even if our RB averages 6+ yards per carry during a game.

Our HC has horrible game management skills. Probably the worst in the NFL.

Our best pass rusher has disappeared this season for whatever reason (age, injuries, etc.)

And finally, our owner needs to stick to being an owner and give up his GM role.

Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Stafford, Rivers, all have more picks than Romo. Most Cowboys fans make me sick at how little they understand football in general and how lucky they are to have a guy like Romo after Carter, Bledsoe,Testeverde and a boatload of forgettables. Matt Flynn has a QB rating or 174 after playing the Dallas defense. It was inevitable a pick was going to come at some point when your defense is so inept at stopping even the most basic passing attack you take more chances. Yet you attack the best player on the team instead, who basically has to carry this trainwreck all by himself. The NFL channel has waited 15 weeks for Romo to throw a crucial interception so they can run their 15 minute bashing segment. Almost completely ignoring Stafford and his 3 picks that probably took Detroit out of the playoffs.

When will you understand it's the way the team is put together that is the problem? Not addressing the Dline but once in the last couple drafts. Trading two picks for one player who cannot stay healthy. Bad talent evaluation. Undermining your coach at every turn. That's just the start of the problem.

Pointing at Romo as the problem is hilariously shortsighted and ignorant. The guy has to score on virtually ever possession now just to compete and get into the playoffs. What other Qb has to do that? And he never complains about it.

This week Stafford 3 picks, Brady's pick ended the game. Brees threw a couple picks. Romo can go two seasons of perfect ball and when he makes a mistake, it's the same old Tony. Even though he just won two of the last three games on last minute drives.

Please, please, please, do me and alot of other fans a favor and go find a flavor of the month team and make it yours. Or focus on the real problem. The General Manager.

I believe all of this is unanimously agreed upon, problem is some of us will never agree Romo's stats trump Eli's rings. It's not a who is better than scenario, it is a who was better when the chips were on the table, We have had oppurtunitiea with teams that were better than the Gianta and were unable to follow through. However anyone feels about Eli does not matter, he played flawless football TWICE, when he could have been just as bad as he normally is. Yes it was a team win but what did HE do during those wins, that's what stands out and not saying Romo couldn't have done those things but as of yet? WhT has he done in the last win or go home games he has played in? People are mad cUse we give respect where it is due.
Also Brady is playing with new receivers every two years and having to mentor them during the game, yet he is still able to win with them.

It's not "ALL" Eli's fault, but he has been horrific. It's not a fluke that he has led the league in turnovers multiple times in his career. He has always been inaccurate and throws way too many picks. I look at Eli's situation this season and think of Romo's last season. Both had bad offensive lines and defenses. However, under very similar situations, the results are like night and day. Romo, despite no running game, terrible protection and a pathetic defense, had his team contending for the division title in week 17 (kind of like he's doing now with one of the worst defenses in the history of the NFL). Eli has been a disaster this entire season. He has not made his team better in any way this year. Regardless of TEAM accomplishments (like postseason victories/December wins), Romo has always been the superior QB. The actual stats that they use to measure a QBs abilities/efficiency show that Romo has been vastly superior throughout his career. Give me Marino over Plunkett any day of the week regardless of Plunkett's 2 rings. I understand the difference between team accomplishments and a QB's abilities. Unfortunately, this season will likely end in disappointment for Dallas. They'll find a way to blame Romo - especially if he turns the ball over in the coming games. He may very well be at fault in those games too but, if the defense was even slightly competent, Romo and the Cowboys would've already clinched the East. A defense that consistently blows double digit leads (is it 4 this season?) kills a team. The QB who has 29 TDs and only 9 INTs at this point is a big reason why they are even competitive.

You can come up with all of the excuses you want, but the bottom line is, Eli has gotten it done multiple times and Romo still only has 1 playoff win.

1. It's like saying the urinal cake in the john tastes better than the dog poop on the front lawn.

2. Eli still has 2 Super Bowl rings. Romo has 1 career playoff victory.

3. Marvin Lewis has worked wonders in an organization that was dead for almost 2 decades. They are currently leading their division at 9-5.

How dare you pee in the Eli gush club punch bowl.

as musch as I like this part of the argument the folks on here denigrating Eli's ints say his superbowls don't matter cause they were a couple of years ago so according to them our 5 rings being now decades old have no place in any future arguments.

How the heck could any Cowboys fan possibly talk trash at this point??? This franchise is a joke and has been for a little over 15 years now. I've been keeping my head down and mouth shut in every football discussion since the Packers game. Its pretty embarrassing to be an out of state Cowboys fan at this point.

Lol at the Romo bashers. Talk to me when Romo actually has a defense out of the bottom 15 and we'll see where this team is at.

2007 and 2009 called.

It's too late for Romo though. 34, washed up, declining due to age, never been a winner. Stick a fork in him. Hes done.

You guys sure hate that Eli has 2 rings, you'll come up with anything you can to discount it.

His rings aren't discounted but they mean jack THIS season, thus to point out this fact is perfectly fine.

No it's not fine, because Romo and the Cowboys haven't accomplished anything this year, and the December woes continue.
