Yeah, because they're dirty cheaters. The only credit they're due is for being caught redhanded. You've gotta be pretty frickin dense to think otherwise.

Pretty dense to think other teams aren't/weren't doing the same thing....

Think of it this way guys, the cheating Pats probably did us a favor by screwing the Eagles over in the bowl.

If I remember correctly, the final was 27-24 and the Eagles were all over Brady's jock on blitz after blitz in the first half.

The second half, the Eagles never even touched Brady.

If it wasnt for those cheating Pats, the Eagles would probably have a trophy right now......I think I am going to send a thank you card to Belicheat.....this is freaking priceless:laugh2:

Naw...McChunks and Andy "I forgot how to tell time" Reid are the ones that screwed the eagles...

As Don Shula said,

If I'm dumb enough to get my signals stolen I deserve it.

Till 2007 I don't thing Pats were breaking any rules with stealing signs. They are caught and payed the piper.

100% of every baseball manager/coach is trying to steal 3rd base calls and catcher calls. This really is overblown. Gaylord Perry and countless pitchers threw spitters and its "funny". Corked bats anon

You really have to be a genius to snair signals and relay that info onto the field real time. Or better yet, you have to be pretty dumbed down to be schooled like that.

I think it will play out that Patriots are still a solid team post cameragate. Funny how Dallas with no talent pre and post 1992-1996 have been pawned. You have the players and execute there is no stopping it.

And I'll go out on a limb they still will continue to monitor opposing teams call in some "legally" deemed manor.

That's a nice thing to think, but they had to be spying atleast during 2005-2006.

Mangini knew about the spying because he was part of the Patriots organization during the 2005 season. He was noted as giving "dummy" signals in 2006 according to some article on CZ, I'll find it in a bit.

The Patriots won their Super Bowls in 2001, 2003, and 2004. We KNOW that they were doing this in 2005. We can't prove at the moment that this was happening during the 2003 or 2004 seasons, but the odds are that they wouldn't just start cheating after winning their 3rd Super Bowl in 4 years. I believe that they probably cheated during the 2003 and 2004 seasons. Maybe not the 2001 season...

EDIT: Here's the article: http://cowboyszone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95399&highlight=Mangini+dummy

Really? Then why aren't there multiple coaches saying the same things about other teams, and not just the Patriots? And why aren't teams mysteriously having their headsets die when they start moving the ball in critical drives outside of Gillette Stadium during the regular season and the playoffs? Do you honestly think other teams wouldn't be getting some fingers pointed at them and being caught if this was going on?

And this has been going on long before 2007.

I swear, I'd think some of you guys were Patriot fans and/or Belicheat nutswingers if I didn't know better.

1. There's been bad, bad blood b/w BB and Mangini(ever since Mang tried to tamper with Deion Branch last year)

2. Headsets die out at least a few times a year in every stadium-I've seen it happen at TX Stadium, the Louisiana Superdome, FedEx, etc-So I guess we should be punished too?

3. I just happen to "merely like" the Pats b/c of their run, but it doesn't make me a "fan" of them nonetheless

For what it's worth -from Bill Parcells on ESPN radio with Key and Mort last night.

He told a story about in the 80s if one team's phones went dead, the other team had to stop using their sideline phones as well until it was fixed. He also said that when he played Bill Walsh and Candlestick, the 49ers phones would conviniently go out at the very start of the game, so both teams had to stop using them. This was in the old West Coast Offense days where Bill Walsh had scripted his first 20 offensive plays, so the fact they couldn't talk to their coaches upstairs didn't really mean that much to them, and of course had a much bigger impact on the Giants. He said they thought something might be up when it happened twice in a row.

I think it's always been a part of the game in some form or another.

I was thinking about this for a while now, and I have a scenario in which you could take this information and use it. In football, it's about big plays that can turn a game.

If it were me cheating with cameras, I would have the camera man record the defensive calls and another one record the defensive play at the same time.

Then I would take only the calls that are vulnerable to a big play and have a guy memorize 2 defensive calls only. Let's say the vulnerable call (in phillys case) an over load right-side blitz with 3 guys coming from the right, along with 3 defensive linemen. Then the perfect play call for the defense would be a screen right.

My assistant (the hired cheater) would tell me when that call comes down from the opposing team. I will then counter with a screen to that side where the flooded blitz is coming, and of course we actually have to execute the play, but an easy screen should run off about 20 yards or so if done correctly.

You really don't need to analyze every play you record, just plays that will result in a huge play. 1 or 2 plays should do it, the point is, if you know 1 or 2 plays for sure that a team will run, and the exact time they are calling it, you can destroy that team.

I agree with you that other teams have been cheating (Seattle tampering with K-ball).

However, nobody has gone as far at the Patriots have, lets review.

1. Cutting off visting team headsets during critical drives.
2. Using multiple frequencies to jam/intercept coach to QB communication
3. Mic up defensive lineman to record audibles, snap count, ect...
4. Video taping other teams sideline.

Multiple coaches have come out and confirmed this, not just 1 guy making allegations.

NOBODY HAS TAKEN CHEATING LIKE THIS TO THE NEXT LEVEL LIKE THE PATS. THERE REALLY IS NOWAY TO DEFEND THEIR BEHAVIOR.

Nobody has ever found The Cowboys (or any other team to my knowledge) using multiple illegal radio frequencies inside their stadium. Or did you conveniently forget that part?

This seems pretty cut and dry to me.

I am quite stunned by the number of Patriot apologists on this board. Nobody is denying that they cheated, it seems most of the replies are "well everybody cheats, so no big deal"

The problem is "everybody didnt get caught".
