Top 5 (I should say these guys have been better than I thought they'd be or have come out of nowhere)
1. Pickens
2. Flournoy
3. J. Williams
4. Prescott
5. Houston

5 Disappointments (I expected more out of these guys, but it's still early and I'm not counting Mazi lol)
1. Wilson
2. S. Williams
3. Kneeland
4. Liafau
5. Schoonmaker

Top 5
1. Dak -best I’ve seen him play
2. Williams- expected nothing, wow.
3. OL-as a whole they’ve looked great
4. Kenny Clark-he’s brought stability inside
5. Pickens-he’s so smooth out there

Bottom 5
1.Lamb-he really did cost the Eagles game
2.Sam Williams-I really think he’s a LB playing edge.
3.Sanborn-doesn’t belong in the league
4. Murray -runs away from tackles
5. Odigizuwa-I think he flashes but he is not good vs the run at all.

Dak is playing very well. Of course, I usually say tha before we get into the playoffs. Then he turns into sod.

Just curious why you would think S Williams is a LB? He played outside LB, almost exclusively as a pass rusher in Mike Mcintyre’s 34 defense. He played end and some 3tech his 2nd senior season in a hybrid.
He played end his 2 seasons at northeast Mississippi community college where he registered 21 sacks.
Even if there was some indication (I haven’t seen it) he was smart enough to diagnose and fill the correct hole against the run he looks like they’ve got him over 270 to play strong side starting end!

Best:
Every position group on offense. We're down WR1 and nearly an entire OL and still ranked #1. Impressive.

Brian Schottenheimer. The man is coaching out of his mind and keeping this team in the hunt. I have no problem admitting that I was wrong about this hire.

The 2025 draft class. Booker looks legit. Starter. EZ is ramping up and getting closer by the week. Starter. Revel is TBD. Likely to play a major role in the near future. Blue needs reps. Mild disappointment heavily tempered by the exceptional performance of Williams. James is talented, but needs refinement. Likely starter. Toia has played a role, but showed he needs more work. It's not the Dak and Zeke draft, but these guys look like they can be pretty good.

Bad:
The secondary. We've seen improvements the last two weeks but we need them to be alot better. The first 3 games....yikes. Maybe more time in the system combined with players getting healthy can make a positive difference.

Veteran linebackers. One is slow, one has limited instincts, and the other is Damone Clark. We need James and Liufau to get it together ASAP. They've shown promise, but there are some warts that need to be addressed. Overshown coming back should provide a spark, but I worry that this defensive scheme is a misfit for his skill set. I'm sure he can play the run and occasionally drop into coverage, but we are seldomly seeing our LBs blitz, and that's what O does best. I'm going to be pissed if he is back in coverage 90% of the time.

Not even Aubrey as an honorable mention?

Top 5 in no particular order:
Dak - Off to a great start
J.Williams - didnt expect much from our run game
Pickens - massively talented and has come through big
Ferg - Had a down year but expected him to bounce back big. Don't think he was really healthy last year
OL - most had our OL as a middle of the pack but they have been really good so far. Credit: Conor Riley - coaching matters! Nice to see changes and schemes around injuries and not having an OL instantly implode when an injury happens.

Bottom 5....
Lots of disappointment on defense to list

Yeah he's exempt, bro. He's in a league of his own! And great point.
Truly.
I long for an NFL FG contest, away from the Pro Bowl, which no one watches.
But maybe a pre-super Bowl competition.anyone for an 80-yarder?
Lol

Good:

Dak
Offensive line
Offensive line coach
Williams

Bad:
Elam…another 1st round bust that the Cowboys sign
Sanborn
Run defense as a whole.

I'm not going to list players.

I'll go coaches. Schotty has been great. I didn't feel any kind of way about the hire. Thought I'd give him a chance. I think he'll be good tho down the stretch. I think the coaches making him look good are 1) junior Adams 2) Connor Riley.

Eberflus has been bad so far, but we'll see how it goes.

Kinda early to be disappointed in blue. He’s had 4 carries and the one he wasn’t hit at the Los he got 6 yards on

Me lord, Blue has been given minimal touches, like 5 so far.
He can't possibly improve without the reps and touches.
Having said tha, his fumbling profile precedes him, and the fact he hasn't been Inserted much tells me he is a big disappointment to his coaches.

Kneeland is a name that's gone on a milk carton. What's up with that? Folks were expecting decent things out of him.

Man, he's still got time to turn it around, but I was kind of expecting him to be the run stopper DE on the squad. But you're right, he's been a total milk carton scenario so far.

Yep you pretty much hit the nail on the head. I agree

Is Kneeland hurt? Or is his feelings hurt? Isn’t he on the injury report?
