He does not need a playbook, routes are routes, knowing where CeeDee will be on a slant will be different than say a Noah Brown. He should be playing "catch" with them running various routes against various coverages and various tempos like 3, 5, and 7 step drops, on the move plays etc. A playbook will address everything but he does not need that for the off-season at the very least MM should tell him to work on crossing routes or what teh offense will be based on, short vs deep, middle of the field as opposed to heavily to the outside of the numbers.
