Hmmm. Not really. In base defense you still have a front seven with 4 DBs either 3-4 or 4-3. Safeties need to be able to cover more period. The defensive sets aren't much different in the 3-4 although DCs tend to drop different front seven players in coverage more.

THe front doesn't effect the secondary much, if at all.

The amount of coverage a safety is responsible for is solely up to the DCoord's scheme (not front).
