Athlon Sports had Connor Williams ranked as their 1 OT in the last 2 years

I'd like to keep Collins at RT for the sake of continuity and building chemistry with Martin, he definitely has the ability to be a very very good RT. Also Williams is probably the most mobile OL we have now outside of Tyron, and that will come in handy playing G.

I agree that the lineup you have would work as well, I just don't love the idea of constantly moving Collins back and forth.

To say nothing of totally reversing a rookie's technique, which I'm never crazy about.

I expect Williams at left guard, not right tackle, and for Collins to find a home outside. He was improving throughout the season and I wouldn't want to stifle that improvement by shuffling him around again.

I'll be shocked if it's not Williams inside and Collins at right tackle.

Not remotely. I just think we fans did not anticipate the transition. most people had their hearts set on Vea. The OL we were anticipating Hernandez, Daniels, Wynn and other interior OL. Personally I thought there would be a run on OL -like there always is- and none would be left by 50. Him falling was a nice bonus. finding OL talent is difficult.

That's what I was feeling when I saw that run at the top of round two. I thought that the Cowboys would be left out in the cold. For me, this pick was a much-welcomed surprise.

I think in retrospect that it will end up being the best pick from this Cowboys draft.
