Atlanta opens up 3.5 point favs

Atlanta has a better oline,QB and WRs.their Oline can atually open up holes for the RB.We cant afford mistakes on Offense.

That line surprises me. I don't think much of this ATL team right now. Had the DET game not been gifted to them, this would look like it could become a laugher.

I keep wondering when we're going to win a close game this season.

ALL of our W's have been by 2+ scores.
To close losses.
One blowout loss.

It's funny because this organization sort of developed a reputation for "playing down" to their opponents in the past. Seemed to change in 2014, 2016, and again this year.

Maybe all those times we "played down", we just really weren't that good of a football team...

Better than ours? No. Ryan is not better than Dak this season. Their WRs are very meh this year compared to last. Have you even watched them this year? They are a complete 180 from last season.

Julio dropped one in the end-zone that would of changed the outcome of the game and Freeman went out injured and then came back during the game. This is not the Falcons that went to the Super Bowl.
Yeah, that was crazy. I can only imagine the hate a certain Cowboy receiver would get if he dropped that!

sorry. I meant better than KC.

I can't imagine any team in the NFL looking past Ryan, Julio and Freeman!
We didn’t look past the leading QBR QB with no INT’s coming into yesterday’s game, an awesome rookie RB leading the league in rushing, arguably the best TE in Kelce, and arguably the best utility guy in Hill.

We will not look past Ryan, Julio, Sanu, Freeman, Coleman, or whoever else I left out!

Ehhh something not quite right in Atlanta right now. most likely because of the loss of their OC, but its something. Julio aint the Julio of old. We win by double digits...

Line is telling you take the Falcons.

All that being said, if you want to win the division, you have to win this game.

Skins just won in Seattle. I wouldn't lock, stock and barrel a sure win over them in Dallas at this point. The Skins are a bizarre team.

Stats are deceiving, but Alex Smith has 18 TDs with 1 INT, 113.9 QB rating and 8.3 yards per attempt compared to Ryan who has 11Tds, 7 ints, 92.8 QB rating and 8.0 yards per attempt.

Where KC lacks that true #1 a la Julio, they have a top 3 TE in Kelce, something Atlanta doesn't have.

I'll take your word on the O-line, as less sacks favor Atlanta, but rushing yards wise KC has the #1 back in the game. Hunt comes just under Freeman and Colemans combined rushing total

Who is going to cover Julio?

At this point it won't matter. Julio isn't healthy so he won't outrun anyone behind this soft defense and he hasn't been a redzone target for years.

Don't get me wrong, he will still get his yards when we play zone, but I don't think the quickness and speed from last year is there now to take a pass to the house.

That's exactly what it was, and we were probably saying so at the time.

It's funny, because I've been called a 'homer' for years for saying this team is drafting and developing well, has a competitive offense, and is generally headed in the right direction but has been neglecting it's defense way too long, and it gets us beat. We then go 8-8 with a couple of pretty-much-exactly 8-8 rosters--winning the winnable games and losing close games to good teams--and it's 'accepting mediocrity' or 'Garrett can't win when it counts.' Really, we just took a long time to build a good team. We had one, starting in 2014, and we start to see a team that beats bad teams handily, beats good teams, and...still struggles to beat the best teams in the league because we still don't have enough talent on defense.

I can live with the stupid threads about how we're 'winning in spite of the coaching' as long as we're winning, but I do sorta wish all the RealistsTM from 2011-2013 would acknowledge *they* were actually the ones homering out thinking a mediocre team would beat a better one just because of the star decal on the helmet.

Something tells me that's not going to happen, though. :) Oh, well. As long as we're winning and keeping things interesting, I'm happy for now.

Zekes oral arguments are scheduled for Thursday.

I suspect he plays Sunday since it’s later in the week.

If Zeke plays Sunday and also against the Eagles, if if drags out that long. Then he most likely plays on t-day too because of the short week, and the holiday coming up. They would not have time to make a decision. Bt then again logic does not apply either.

maybe it keeps getting pushed back, then get to the holidays and such, they won't / can't decide until after the season.
Wishful thinking though on that.
