Atlanta opens up 3.5 point favs

I saw the Falcons and Panthers yesterday and the Falcons OL is bad. Could nor protect the QB or run block. If we play our game, we should b OK.

I disagree with that. With Garrett, although the records have not been great, I don't think we usually have shown a lack of effort or playing down to an opponent. Nothing like what we had with Wade Phillips or Pre Parcells.

"Effort" is often colored by your bias and results

Many here (including myself) viewed Wade as a cream puff so we ascribed our bias though the regular season record for Wade was pretty good (except the last half season when Romo got hurt). I can bet that our record and "effort" would been bad with Garrett last year if the miracle of Dak had not happened. Many Garrett homies would have been jumping off Garretts ship if not for Dak

That line surprises me. I don't think much of this ATL team right now. Had the DET game not been gifted to them, this would look like it could become a laugher.
Agreed, I am surprised about that line too. I wonder if it factors in Zeke not playing.

Right now, Atlanta is on the downswing and our guys are on the upswing. Anything can happen, despite the 3-point spread. That is an automatic advantage due to the home field advantage afforded them. We can rightfully expect a tough game but so can they. We'll be fine, come what may, as long as we bring our "A" game with us. Hopefully, our walking wounded will heal sufficiently in the meantime. Plan on enjoying a great game!

what's going on with Julio? I knew he had some issues earlier, but though that was over.

He's feeling the wear and tear due to some busy games -- they've used him liberally. At this time of year, every team has their issues. Here's hoping we'll show up ready to offer our "A" game. Do that and we should be able to leave Atlanta with a win. Here's hoping we'll all enjoy the fruits of winning this road game to prove ourselves a viable contender, whether Ezekiel plays or not.

Dangerous trap game next week looking ahead to the E-gals. I could see us losing this one and turning around and beating Philly...
How can it be a trap when they're favorites and the defending SB NFC Representative? The next trap game will be at NY.

Dak is the key

If he doesn't play well, we lose

If he plays well, we win fairly easily
He should play well with 8 guys in the box every week. I hope he finds the right guy to throw to. Another reason why Zeke is so important to this team. Eight guys in the box goes away with Alfred/Smith/Dmac in the backfield. Watch the game tape when Alfred/Smith have come in this year. There aren't eight guys in the box focused on stopping the run.

He was hurt in this past game with his leg, he had hurt his hip against the Bills, and he had foot surgery in the offseason.

His body is breaking down.

It's not a trap game. We'll go in with both eyes open however, even with Zeke I think we'll struggle to win.
I agree with the LV line because Atlanta's backs are against the wall and they are going to be raring to go after that last loss. They have the talent and I just think we're in for a let down.
I also question our health between Dez and Twill. If Zeke does not play, look out.

Atlanta will get Zeke-ized this week. 140 yards on the ground against their defense.

Lawrence, Irving, and Jaylon Smith need to change Matty Ice to Flatty McIceington. If he is running for his life, then Julio becomes a spectator with a good seat.
