Attention Jerry and Stephen: THIS is what All in really means

There are 0 fans who are ok with them “hanging around the rim”. That’s just a narrative the bottom dwellers use to justify their constant hate.
Who said anything about fans being ok with it .

It’s only ok for our owners who said it . And why some of us criticize and attempt to hold their feet to the fire .

I like the chance of a good young defensive coordinator ....... but he is still an unknown.

Head coach is a joke in my opinion ........ a dork with cheap stunts to get attention and appear "cool"
They have to prove it on the field. I thought the offense showed something last year. The credit can go to him or the coaches he picked. We'll see how it goes this year.

We already know this isn't how Jerry and the Cowboys operate. They want to be a solid team every year that competes for a Super Bowl.

Jerry wants his Forbes rankings and merch sales. Risking it all and possibly falling flat on the face isn't a gamble they will ever take on.
That’s right. They used All In terms to string fans along like they were doing all they could to win. But some of us know better .

I agree with you but that's why you have to have VISION in getting a plan executed. After getting embarrassed by Green Bay, maybe you fire McCarthy and hire Harbaugh and/or trade Parsons that off-season before free agency and the draft to get max return before teams have had a chance to spend. None of this happened to even put us in a position of being one player away, which could have been as recent as last season.
Couldn't agree more. However, I think they are pointed in the right direction now with the hiring of young, innovative coordinators. Improved schemes can actually help them more now, not just talent alone.

You are correct: there are zero fans OK with them just "hanging around the rim." But this statement came from the mouth of the "owner" of the Dallas Cowboys, not the fans. All fans - including the bottom dwellers - want and demand more from this once storied franchise. Apparently, Jerry and son feel differently.
Correct.

Unfortunately I’m not sure all fans are holding our owners feet to the fire demanding more.

Wanting more , perhaps . But as long as we are feeding their revenue and buying in without those results we are indirectly providing them a seal of approval .

Perhaps but are we headed in a better direction than our 12 win seasons for example .

We can’t be absolutely sure yet. Does it look better than last couple years. Maybe. Time will tell. And results matter.

I think the other thing that wrankles the feathers of the Jerry backers about this is the fact that the Rams traded FOR a generational pass rusher to put them over the top while we traded ours away hoping to salvage something. That makes them even more frantic to say "we won the Parsons trade" for pride's sake even if it doesn't turn out to be true.
Micah played in 4 playoff games for us. 8 solo tackles, 10 assists for 18 total and 1 sack. That was the big man’s contribution on the big stage for us. We got rid of him just time as he has 1 or ONE freaking leg!

Who says he’s on “ ONE freaking leg “if he stays here .

We have an entire roster including the highest paid QB in the league who didn’t have best performances in playoffs .

The good news is Parsons was talented enough to allow us in the 11th hour of failed contract negotiation bail out to afford us the opportunity to recover from that loss with 2 1st round picks .

On paper, we look more balanced. Offense can now run the football, you would think on defense we are better against the run, but not as good rushing the passer. Trenches has been always the issue for not advancing in the playoffs, they are building the right way now.

We could be. I’m hopeful but again I’m not a good enough talent evaluator without seeing it produce on the field .

I’m surprised more fans aren’t more reserve waiting to see how it develops before anointing we have arrived .

And a couple key injuries could sink the ship.

Question I have are the Cowboys 1 impact player away from being a legitimate championship contender? In my opinion definitely not. Makes zero sense to have an all in year with all they achieve is becoming a playoff team not a SB winning one.
I agree with your assessment.

But we’ve had several teams that were close enough to being really good in the last decade…like 2016 qnd 2022. And other than resigning a bunch of our own “stars” we drafted, our FO has not made what could be considered an “all in” move.

Is there a year or a time I’m missing where this FO went all in to win a championship?

I’ve deleted some posts on this thread with personal insults. Let’s not turn this place into an eagles message board. Lay off the attacks before someone gets the bench.

In reality the rams didn't give up much to get an elite player. People forget how often even 1st round picks busts.

I agree.......unless they are extremely witty, sarcastic or hilarious.
