I find it hilarious that in year that we desperately need safeties and cbs and O linemen, someone comes up with a Shipley. Aside from the Rudy factor he'd be hard pressed to play in his second year in the CFL.

Co'mon mens, we have to start thinking OL and secondary in both FA and in the draft, some who can step in immediately (FA) and one who can be developed within 2 years (Draft).

Totally disagree. Do you really think the Cowboys have a specific order of positions they're going to draft round-by-round? Let's be real here, they're going to stick to their board, and take the highest rated player on their board if they feel the value is there.

If we were to get Tate (I'm not advocating one way or the other) then by the time his rookie contract expired Roy wouldn't be on the team anyway. So really it would just be two contracts.

Golden won't make it out of the 1st round. Heck, someone may take him before Dez. Golden is a Steve Smith clone. He's built like him, and has the same playmaking ability as Steve. Once he catches the ball, he turns into a hard to tackle, hard to catch, running back type WR that has extrodinary vision and instincts. Golden is just as competitive as Steve, except he's more disciplined and won't get those dumb ejection-type penalties. If Thomas (FS) is gone, then Golden is my choice. He's going to impact the moment he steps on the field. The guy is truely magical. Get er done JJ.

Agreed. My favourite player in this draft. Tate+Austin and our offense would be unstoppable.

While I would be ecstatic bringing in Tate to the fold (the coaches wouldn't have to push him like they do with OTree). Meeting him at the Combine almost assures that we aren't going to draft him.
