Ken Hamlin went on Sirius Radio yesterday to talk about the news that Terrell Owens and Roy Williams were released...

He is saying the usual stuff about T.O. being a good teammate and I think for the most part he's being honest.
But the distraction part he's down playing because he's a friend of T.O.'s. You can't just say that the distractions the guy brings to the table aren't affecting the team.
Having to constantly play football in a circus environment has to change the way you do things somewhat. No matter if T.O. was looking for the media's attention or not it was coming his way based on the way he handled himself in the past.
Now I do agree that in the end it all comes down to what you do on the field. And clearly this team has a problem getting it done on the field in crunch time. But then the question of 'why can't this team get it done?' will be asked and that's where you see the owner of the team looking to make changes on the coaching staff and the roster in hopes of finding different results in the future.
This is the second guy to mention Roy's game being affected because of injuries. Now we know he had the broken arm, but I am wondering if there were some other injury situations going on with Roy that we didn't have the full story on.
And yeah, Roy was willing to go out there and play special teams which is a great thing. But it doesn't just dismiss the fact that he wasn't going to be worth his salary this season as a part time Safety and a part time special teamer. I think a change was the best thing for Roy right now.
