My first CD Player was an Onkyo. It had a stereo Headphone jack, so I listened to the few CDs I had at the time through the player, until I got a Receiver (Not an Onkyo... A Budget Receiver).

I love vintage "silver faced" stereo equipment from the 70s. Marantz and Pioneer were probably the most popular but Onkyo, Sansui, and Kenwood offered some great values that performed as well or maybe even better.
