Was that spears who asked "who's this guy"? Sounds like the media are high on the players list of people to remember.

Spears and Holley defend Wade on Off With The Helmets
----------------------------------------

Is it January yet?

The way you defend your coach is producing on game day and winning.
I dont take what spears had so say because what has spears really done this year. Nothing! Where is the pass rush. A bunch of times, I saw Ware and Ratliff doubleteamed. Where was spears.

Its easy to sit up there and talk, what should have been asked by brady was to the players is this. Spears, you do realize that when you lose, your letting the team down, your teammates and wade. Then, some of this stuff falls on wade. Do you feel guilty about any of this stuff?

Like brady said, we want you to get to the playoffs and win a game or 2, sure the super bowl would be nice, but win in the playoffs. Dont every big game that comes up lose. It does have everything to do with it on the last years you have been losing.

Think about this spears, it took you how many years to admit that you had to go to Randy White and get some martial arts preparation. YOU should have been doing that several years before that. MOST of this is on you players for not executing and doing your job Period!

If you want the heat off of wade and the players, then do what your suppose to do, quit having excuses. Study more, prepare more, I question how much time you spend in film study, preparation, after practice, how much time you spend with Doug Free, Mcquistan working with them to get them to play better. Just such a play was when doug free blocking inside with the guard and their linebacker blitzed and sacked romo for a big loss. Romo looked totally surprised.

Romo played a pretty good game Spears, where were you in that game, I didnt see any big sacks from you, i didnt see any fumbles caused by you like Jay Ratliff caused, yet your a number one draft choice Spears, where is your accountability.

It does matter what you have done in the past and how your redicating yourself to get better spears. Years ago, charles haley was hurt and couldnt play in a game, he worked and worked with leon lett in film study, in a critical game against the packers, lett had a intereception due to film study and working with haley. What have you done to improve Spears?

The coaches can only coach you, but you have to execute, you havent executed yet Spears. Talk is cheap, Spears!

I think that's kind of the players' point.

They've done that 8 times in 12 games.

Oh please, please could you shower us with your superiority. Could ya do that for us?

Tell us all about how great your life is. Tell us what its like up there.

Oh how we long for just 5 minutes in your shoes. Not that we could even half fill them or walk a few steps, but just to rub foot-stink with someone so incredibly high up would surely make all of our days and lives much better.

I can say with 100% certainty that your mere presence has lifted me from my deep deep pit of despair. You give me something to shoot for even if every attempt is completely futile.

You have an aura of absolute flawlessness that has not once been matched in all of history and dare I say, "Never. Will. Be."

You are delightful. No, no, you are brilliant. No, no, no. No, there is no word to describe your perfection so I am forced to make one up, and I am going to do so right now.......

Scrumtrulescent.

You are absolutely scrumtrulescent.

Hit a nerve, did he? :p:

Also it's kind of hard for the players to just "shut up and win" when they're on talk shows specifically to talk.

By the way, all 32 teams have players who do weekly local talk shows.

How many teams have won Super Bowls without gag orders on their players? My guess is somewhere around 43. Anyone want to find the correlation between # of interviews given by players and # of wins in a season? My guess is it's around 0.

Link?

The organization had a gag order from the end of the season till the draft.

All the fans and media went crazy saying they were cowards amongst other things.

No they didn't.

The head coach had a gag order.

These players and the Owner have never faced a gag order.

Pretty much proved theebs point for him. It's all a matter of interpretation, and our fans fall all over themselves to interpret everything in the most unflattering light imaginable.

Brady Tinker has yet to ask any of our players to their face what it's like being on a team where the players coach themselves. He'll say it all day long when there are no current players around but he's kissin tail when they are on his show. What a loser.

You think players coach this team lol? Are you serious?

You have to excuse these guys. They forget at the end of the day the Cowboys are 8 and 4. They sometimes think they are 4 and 8.

yet, when it always comes down to big games, they dont come through. Thats my point!

Till they recognize it and fix it, nothing will change.

Till you recognize a problem, and face up to it, then fix it, you will continue to make the same mistakes over and over and over. Just like with the field goals with folk and mcbrair. McBrair has said more than once it was on him. Now we hear Mcbrair say that he is reaching for the ball and its in his head not to do it, but he still reaches for the ball in game time situations and he shouldnt. In practice he doesnt do that, but in game time he does. Why has it taken 2 or more times for McBrair to keep making this problem.

This is my whole point on the team, this is the head coaches job to see that isnt done. Fix it! Dont keep waiting for it to go away or say everything is ok and dont worry.

What's a big game? Isn't every game big? If you lose to the Raiders then you're no longer leading the NFC East. So what's your idea of big? Because going up to Philly and beating them isn't some easy feat or tearing up a Falcons team with Matt Ryan and Turner. But let's be honest. Its only a big game when the Cowboys lose.

Best way they can defend Wade is get out there and play their butts off sunday. Anything less than that just makes them look like loud mouth drama queens.

Bingo, if the players like brooking dont like the way the media gets onto wade, then do something about it in big games. Come through, fix it.

Bring in the players that had problems with winning big games like Bob Lily, Roger Staubach, etc and ask them how they fixed the losing.

Ask Troy Aikman what he meant when he said, we had no ideal what it meant to be a champion till charles haley got here.

Ask Herb Adderly what he told the cowboys why they werent winning the big one.

Just dont sit there with your head in the sand and say it will go away, one day we will win it all, there is no problem, everything is ok.

Ask yourself why mcbrair missed the hold on one of Folk's kicks. Ask yourself who blew the coverage on Jacobs on his long TD run and why?

You dont want the blame on wade, then execute, do your job. Just like when you went to wade earlier in the year Brooking and told him that you dont need all of these extra blitzing schemes and coverages, just make it simple.

Why did you have to go and ask and tell wade that Brooking. Isnt he the head coach, shouldnt he have seen that.

We want these things fixed, we are tired of the excuses when you get in big games and lose. McBrair again doesnt hold snap hold properly, punt coverage team lets up and a giants players runs for a huge punt return touchdown.

Did you focus enough, sweet under the rugs and in the corners Brooking after the bye weekend of thanksgiving. Why does Felix Jones go down on kickoffs real easy, even brad sham said so and babe laufenberg said felix is real tentative in returning the football on kickoffs. Why?

No, the game against the Giants was real big, even wade said so too. For several reasons, if the cowboys players had beaten the giants, most likely they would have knocked them out of the playoffs and wouldnt have had to face them like they did in 2007 like bradie james said. Next, with that loss now, we are looking at the resurging green bay packers, because of that loss to green bay, we may be knocked out of the playoffs, because we didnt wn this game against the giants in NY.

Do you want to have to go back up to NY and play the giants in frigid weather in the playoffs possibly in a wildcard game if we get that far?

Every time when we have a big huge game, to get into position to get into the playoffs like the Ravens game last year and the last game of the season against the eagles in 2008, we lose. Why?

We know that the Saints and the Vikings are in the playoffs right?

We are tied with Green Bay with green bay having tie breaker on us for beating us, we are tied with phily who has an easier schedule then we do, The Giants are one game back of us, just one game, if we end up in a tie with them for the playoffs we get knocked out due to them beating us twice.

Yes, that was a big game, to first get the monkey off of your back for what giants did to us in 2007, and in cowboys stadium and in NY this year. Psychologically speaking, if we had beaten the giants in NY, the players would have more confidence, knowing they can beat the giants, that they can face any team in hostile weather in a hostile stadium and win. Now, we dont know that, there is that doubt.

If we lose any more games, some team could still win and sneak up on us for the 4th slot in the wildcard slot

So, yes that giants game was huge, because if we had won, we would be 9-3, not 8-4. Then, at 9-3 we probably only had to win one more game for the playoffs. Now, we have to win probably 2 to get into the playoffs, maybe 3.

So, that was a big game!

Ive been back and forth but yeah, I think this is what I would like to see. For some reason I would MUCH rather play the Giants up there in the playoffs than down here, dont know why, just feel like our team plays harder up there, most of the time.
