And then what? Robert Brewster is still a huge question mark. Pat McQuistan has been around for like 10 years and we all know we don't to see him playing any significant amount of time.

So it's clear that the Cowboys are very much in the market for a Offensive Tackle in this draft.

If one of the guys they are targeting is named Charles Brown then they better be prepared to take him at that #27 spot...

Those are some big mits on Charles. You hear it all the time in the NFL that if a good Left Tackle gets his hands on you it's a done deal. The issues with the weight room should not be a problem because if the Cowboys draft him we know Joe Juraszek will put him to work immediately.

I saw footage of him working out at his Pro Day and the kid is in great shape. I think with some work on his run blocking he could be a solid pro for the next ten seasons.

I'd take him at 27... He can add 10 to 15 lbs to the frame and be ready to go.

Long arms, big hands, great feet. Comes from a bigtime program, got progressively better. Is still learning. Supposedly is a very coachable kid who works hard.

I have no problem if we take him at 27.

He's a guy who I didn't really know anything about until a few days ago. Then I saw that Slate hated him, so I decided he'd be worth looking into. That highlights/lowlights video really sealed the deal for me, I think he'd be a fantastic pick at 27.

I really think that the Cowboys front office gives higher grades to players who have strengths in the passing game and are more likely to take athletic/unfinished product guys over players who are more "pro-ready". Brown fits both of those qualifications.

i dont like him, he is more a finese type blocker, lightweight too for OT

if you remember DC most of the offensive linemen dont make it in the NFL bigtime,
remember jacob rogers?
how about winston justice, remember he gave up like 4 sacks in one game against the giants

Winston Justice had a fantastic season last year, you can't hold one game from three years ago as evidence that OL from USC don't pan out. That's ridiculous, it was Justice's first game in the NFL. It doesn't even make sense to include Rogers because he never had a shot due to injuries.

Chilo Rachal, Ryan Kalil, Sam Baker, Deuce Lutui and Winston Justice are all average to good players and are all full-time starters. That's all 5 of the OL from USC that have been drafted in the second round or higher in the past 5 years.

Winston Justice had a fantastic season last year, you can't hold one game from three years ago as evidence that OL from USC don't pan out. That's ridiculous, it was Justice's first game in the NFL. It doesn't even make sense to include Rogers because he never had a shot due to injuries.

Joe was pretty cluless with his comment regarding USC OL's, he picks out one or two infamous guys, but never mentions the dozens of USC OL's who have become outstanding players, some even HOF-ers.

It would probably take Brown about 1-2 years to develop, and at that point you could move Free to RT (as an example). You would then have two very athletic OTs on the line. In the mean time Brown would serve as depth.

Free is fine as a fill in at RT but no way do they want him there as a long time starter. He just doesn't have the power they would want at that position. Which is by the way why they drafted Brewster and put him there. And my point was is that Free plays so well that they wouldn't want to move him from LT.

thats where i disagree with you, only good offensive linemen that i say is good was the big og that the cardinals drafted from usc

Lutui, was his name, he is a pretty good mauling mean nasty og

and oh the ot that went to atlanta sam baker i think (but he fell off last year too due to his finese type blocking), but others have failed in the nfl, offensive and defensive line under pete carrrol,

document i saw, said that they were light, finese type blockers, not mean, nasty mauling blockers

thats why the ot justice had such a problem, was light weight and not a puncher, mauler etc..

and if you watched our games against justice in the eagles cowboys games last year, we tore him up with our defensive linemen and linebackers

i dont like the finese type blockers, we had our problems with them in the Landry years, i would rather have the big nasty mean linemen like jimmy johnson had with the cowboys

when it came most of the time, 3rd and 1, etc... we got it with our big offensive linemen like nate newton, erik williams, larry allen, give me those type linemen and you will win most of the time, not the finese type blockers
