Audio: USC OT Charles Brown on Sirius NFL Radio

Long arms, big hands, great feet. Comes from a bigtime program, got progressively better. Is still learning. Supposedly is a very coachable kid who works hard.

I have no problem if we take him at 27.

I admittedly had no idea who this guy was. That's nothing new though. I usually don't get as enthralled in the draft, stats, etc as others around here. After seeing that video, I also would have no problem taking him at #27. This has nothing to do with any lack of confidence in free (because I am a Free supporter!!!). It has to do with adding quality to the Oline. That video convinced me.

I think the likely picks at 27 are in no particular order: Charles Brown, Devin McCourtey, Mike Iupati and M Pouncey.

Iupati and Pouncey are projected by most to be selected before 27, so those 2 are less likely.

Now if someone like Dez Bryant, Anthony Davis or Kyle Wilson drops, that would change things a bit.

Brown seems like protypical develpmental-type pick. He's already a good player but he may need some time to develop better size/strength. He has everything else you want - great athlete, tall, long arms, good character, comes from pro style offense and played against good competition in college...in another 1-2 years with proper weight training, instead of 6'6 300lbs, he should be 315-320 with at least adequate strength/power

That's a good analysis.

I think we need to add Nate Allen to the potential picks at 27 as well.

My guess is that we're looking at Iupati, Pouncey, Wilson - who will likely be gone, followed by McCourty, C Brown, and N Allen.

If McCourty, Brown and N Allen are all there at 27, maybe we try to trade down a few spots.

Yeah. I only left off Allen's name because it seems most "experts" have him being available somewhere in the 2nd round. If Allen is "their guy" and they select him first, it wont be at 27...perhaps somewhere in the 30s after a trade down
