Werder on Galloway and Company

Yes! Eddie will be at the game on Thursday!

Love me some Ed Werder. Tells it like it is. No BS from Ed-ski!

Romo hasn't been great. He was dinged up on Sunday and that was a factor in my opinion. You try being accurate with a hip pointer!

Only a media wannabe would feel that way.

Werder's "buddies" and colleagues can't even back him with a straight face. They call him out almost as bad as fans do.

He can't tell it like it is because he has no idea how it is. He clearly reports stuff based on one source telling him whatever they want to get out. And Werder could care less about accuracy because it generates attention. After the rat incident last year you can bet there are 0 Werder sources at Valley Ranch. If a good 25% of the team was willing to mock the most stand up guy in the organization over rat allegations than you can guarantee no one else is willing to risk telling Werder spit.

The guy is a tick trying hard to be relevant in his 1970's suit.

You are completely off on how Werder's colleagues feel about him.

He is well respected by his peers. Even if he does have a rep for going after stories about particular players.

Werder still has plenty of sources at Valley Ranch. You should know this by the fact that your boy is now catching 98 yard TD's in Canada.

I don't know or care what his 'peers' think about him, but Werder is a hack. That's been established.

True that. Not only in reporting on this team, but the Giant's as well. They've got enough "stories" reported by him that have zero basis in fact.

Exhibit 1, the first game in 2007 where Eddie * for Brains reported that NY "team sources" indicated that Elisha would be out for 2-4 weeks. Remind me again, how many weeks did Eli miss?

Oh, that's right he didn't miss a single practice. We've seen the same thing here, time and again. Ed's sources might as well be a Magic 8 Ball and a talking My Little Pony.

I have no idea what werder's colleagues think of him.

But I can assure you he has been cut off by the players here and the coaches. None of them will talk to him on the field during warmups. None.

The garrett's, campo, witten, romo, ware, hamlin, newman they all would talk to him. Now they wont even look in his direction. Its kind of comical.

Something I found really funny sunday, Mike Lombardi was at the game. He had a camera with him and he must have been doing live reports for the nfl network pregame show.

He just kept walking out onto the field to stop players and they all stopped and shook his hand and talked to him. It was kind of funny werder was standing right there next to lombardi and witten talking and then decided to just walk away.

I am sure he has sources within the organization, he lives here and has lived here his whole career, but they definitely have dwindled. Even Jerry gives the guy the heisman.

TO has a fluke game in Buffallo after the Offensive Coordinator and Coach are fired therefore Ed Werder is a credible reporter.

Makes sense.

I hear you, and I do think it played a part.

But unless he's hurt his back basically every week, then it isnt totally legit either...he's been off all year...no matter what "stats" someone wants to throw out there, anybody can see with their eyes that he has missed alot of throws this yr that in 06, 07 and before the injury last yr, he made basically in his sleep.

I don't love Werder. But it gets some people annoyed on here, lol.

I am indifferent to Werder. He isn't as powerful as some fans think he is.

No one in the media is and that's the way it should be.

I have been saying that too.

Around the same time of the pinky thing there was talk from Brady Tinker, golfs with Romo, about a thumb injury that maybe wasn't really an 'injury'.

And it seems like that and the broken pinky have affected his passes to where he has a lot more passes sail high and wide on him.

Because you're a blogger, you've got a fascination with thinking media people have power, and you attribute it to others on the board where it doesn't exist.

It's the media's job to inform, and in that capacity they sway public opinion. When they do it poorly or with unsubstantiated claims, they're not doing their jobs. It's not a question of power. It's a question of reporting faithfully and doing a respectable job. It's not that hard, and it doesn't require any special talent.

I am imaging the look on everyone's faces if Jon Kitna marches on the field for the opening series. The servers here would blow up. :D
