we don't need to carry 6

just bring back Mike Jefferson, he's not going to be on any team's roster

I'm very aggrivated with Stanbach. He's showing just enough to have the coaches try to keep him on the team, but not enough to actually contribute anything real.

That's fine///I said the other day that I think Ogletree moves to the number 3 spot, if not #2 spot by midseason. I'm sick of waiting on Austin!

But I do however think Manny Johnson deserves the 6th spot more than Staincrap! If I see another jump step on a kickoff return I'm gonna puke!

At least Jefferson can catch the ball fairly well...

Manny Johnson will be nice and safe on the PS

All I have to say is, thank god for Ogletree. In a couple years he could push for the #2 spot, he's that good.
Otree will be the Z or #2 b4 the end of October... Crayton can only run the Y or slot!

I know a 6-6 white guy who likes nose candy, but can play his butt off of an NFL roster.

Three guesses who that could be.

I asked what Plan B would be if Austin couldn't deliver because of skills or health.

So let me see if I have this right.

1. Keep Stanback for another season while he sits and watches from the sidelines.

2. Bring in Matt Jones after any shot at getting him on the same page with the quarterback during training camp.

When the chilly winds of December blow, and we need another WR with experience, I wonder if anyone will remember there were some screaming about Torry Holt back before he signed with someone else.

"Let's see what the young guys can do."

They got that limping down pretty good, if you ask me.

I hope this hamstring heals.

If the hamstring heals, and it's a big 'if', I understand, whatever else will you find to overreact to? I think it's best for everyone involved if the hamstring just stays a chronic problem.

Thanks again for straightening me out with your vast knowledge of football.

But I asked these very same questions in April, May, June and now we are in Sept and lo and behold, The Gimp crawled out of his footlocker to limp around the sidelines.

But he sure does look good in that leather outfit.

Are your homer glasses bi-focals?

It doesn't take much football knowledge to observe that hamstrings heal and that WRs tweak them, and that you whine too much about almost nothing at all.

After reading all the posts in this thread, I'd suggest I am not alone in this so-called "whine" you labeled.

Good to know all is well.

I'll be honest here. I was one of those screaming for Holt only cause I don't trust Miles at all. I was praying that the Jets would give a 2nd rounder for him cause I knew it would be highway robbery. That much for someone who's had how many injuries? And what has he done again? Flashes in a few games? This guy was held up so high by many on this board and I didn't make sense to me. Almost every team has players like this on their roster. Guys who have the talent but can't cut it due to injury, inconsistency, or for whatever reason.

Be careful, the Whine Police are watching.

Truer words have rarely been spoken.

I think I was one of the first posters who wanted Holt because I thought a year prior to his release he might be available for a trade and that he was the best available replacement for Terry Glenn while we developed WR talent. I've also always been higher on Hurd than I was on Austin.

One way or another, we'll find out this year what we've got at the position. Regardless how it turns out, freaking out over a pulled hamstring in preseason is premature.

Hello Isaiah Stanback. Could this be why they say they may keep 6 WRs?

Don't believe the hype. We aren't keeping 6 wides my friend ... hamstring or no hamstring.

Watching Wade's PC on dallascowboys.com... he said Miles Austin is fine, they took precautions at practice Wednesday because his hamstring tightened up, but he felt fine yesterday.
