Austin Impact Sunday?

1 Play that Garrett always dialed up for Crayton that Austin may get this Sunday is the reverse out of motion. This change of pace play call might look a bit different with #19 toting the pill instead of #84. It could catch a hard-charging pass rusher like Abraham being Peppers-like and not maintaining his outside contain responsibility.

The impact I want to see is him stretching the field. Opens up everything else.

The press has built Austin up over the past two weeks -- too much hype for a one game performance. With Williams banged up, he will likely get the best cover corner and mostly disappear Sunday.

Where is Ogletree....with all the average receivers on this team you would think they could suit him up for a game or two. Let Williams rest and heal -- bring in Ogletree.

I hope Witten is ready to get back to being the #1 receiver this Sunday. Big day for Witten!!! :D

There's just no room. Too many specialists on the team now.

Well, Crayton was good for a first down. Maybe, Austin's ability as a return guy and YAC-kind-of-guy means it could go for a bigger play. That was my point. It seems that a game between 2 good teams hinges on a handful of plays or less, and Austin's role expansion could result in, what used to be a routine 11 or 12 yard gain, now turns into a really big play during a crucial point in the game. Maybe.

But if you have an injured receiver....shouldn't that open up a roster spot for Ogletree. I thought he looked the best of all receivers during preseason.

The last couple of Cowboy coaching staffs seem to favor older veterans over younger guys (no matter talent) -- which does not allow for the younger guys to get experience in games.

I really think he is going to be a ghost. I'll give him 3 catches max 1 first down grab of over 10 yards and another 1st down grab of less than ten. I just don't see him making a big difference this week. But I do think RW and Wit are going to have big days.

The hope is that last week's breakout game sent Miles' confidence sky-high. He has all kinds of talent, but he probably didn't believe how good he could be. Now that he's done it, there's a good chance his belief in himself will grow and we'll see more games like that. (Not 250 yards, but big games.)

Tony has always been a big fan of his, so that part shouldn't be a problem.

i think Austin will have a 4 catch 57 yard and a TD performance

if i could predict the biggest impact he will have Sunday it would be 5 catches for 102 yards and a TD....if the leave him 1 on 1 at all..i can see him and tony connecting deep at least once....and that will force them to play back n leave things open for Witten, and Roy maybe even Crayton and Felix as well

Nobody is saying it, and they won't...but I think that Miles is pretty much the number one receiver here. I think Tony trusts him and knows him and will look his way more.

Now, I don't know how his stats are going to look. But I think he's going to be needed for this offense to put points on the board.

Supposedly Falcons' CB Chris Houston has a same problem our CBs have. That is he doesn't turn around to look for the ball. If they put him on Austin, I can see Austin getting few interference calls on some deep routes.
