a reverse? what is this High School? give me some Digs or a Skinny post!

For once I'd just like to see a triple reverse flea flicker bomb to Leonard Davis.

Yeah i always break that one out around the UT OU game. And luckily this year it gets to stick around for awhile.

The press has built Austin up over the past two weeks -- too much hype for a one game performance. With Williams banged up, he will likely get the best cover corner and mostly disappear Sunday.

Where is Ogletree....with all the average receivers on this team you would think they could suit him up for a game or two. Let Williams rest and heal -- bring in Ogletree.

I hope Witten is ready to get back to being the #1 receiver this Sunday. Big day for Witten!!! :D

Can Ogletree downfield block? Does he know the playbook well enough to adjust and change routes when necessary?

I would die. Especially if he caught it.

For the people clamoring for Ogletree, remember rookie role players need to be able to contribute on special teams. From what I've seen thus far, Olgetree leaves a lot to be desired as far as that is concerned.

I think the dam that broke was a trust one, not a "skill" one. The idea that Austin somehow "found his stride" or that he is "emerging" is a little off, I think. He's always seemed to find separation, but for whatever reason, Romo looked for him, and found him.

Austin has average to above average #1 receiver separation skills on a number of routes, below average #1 receiver hands, and below average #1 receiver precision on routes, at least from what I've been able to see. I'm sure the coaches see much more in practices. If Romo trusts him and sends balls his way, he should do fine.

What I'm more curious about is which receiver position the Cowboys play him in more often. His level of skill and hesitation varies pretty wildly by the routes he's called upon to run. They can't all be flags, and his crossing and in routes are usually pretty sloppy, especially compared to Crayton.

Screw that. This is Austins moment to really step into the spotlight. He is fully capable (as displayed two weeks ago). He even preached consistency and looking within to correct the things that have caused him to be inconsistent up til now. No more excuses. Just get out there and get it done... whether it's Champ Bailey, Nnamdi Asomugha, or Jacques Reeves.
