AUSTIN - Marcus Brice was so early to the new Bud Light "Strike Gold" campaign that he didn't even realize he'd won at first.
The father of four had just finished a day of Christmas shopping for his kids when he stopped and grabbed a 24-back of the Anheuser-Busch beer to bring home.
He put all 24 cans in the fridge and sat down to watch football when a commercial came on.
"It was a commercial about the golden can," Brice said. "I'm like 'that's the golden can!' I saw the same thing when I put my beers away."
Brice ran to the fridge and verified he did, in fact, have one of the golden cans - one of just 37-thousand that were hidden in Bud-Light cases across the country.
"It's honestly like the Willy Wonka thing you find the Golden can," Brice said. "I just see a chance to actually give more right now. I do. I hope it happens."Brice, along with anyone else who finds the cans, can enter himself every week for the next six weeks. Every week, one winner will be given season tickets to the team of their choice and at the end of the contest, the Grand Prize winner will receive tickets to the next 51 SuperBowls.
