Yall are some funny people. It's cute though that Miles is getting crowned.

What is so "cute" about it?

Here's another one -- Austin has three TD catches in the fourth quarter or overtime that were at least 40 yards AND gave us the lead. The entire rest of the league has seven TDs like that (seven players with one each).

Also, all three of Austin's came in road games. The rest of the league has only two of them on the road.

And Austin has four go-ahead TD catches of at least 40 yards in road games this season. The entire rest of the league has five.

 Cute? Crowned? What in the world are you talking about? Any logical Dallas Cowboy fan should be happy about Austin. He is doing some remarkable things right now that do not happen everyday in the NFL. The fans are just pointing out how truly special his run has been. Will it continue at this pace? Probably not, but it may.

Why the negativity?

More Austin trivia -- His career average of 21.47 YPC is the highest of any receiver in the past 20 years with more than 25 career catches and the highest in Cowboys history for any receiver with more than 10 career catches.

And back to his late-game, go-ahead, 40-yard plus TD catches on the road -- he has three this season. There had been only three in franchise history before this season.

Seriously?? Only 3 in franchise history? That's pretty insane. I seem to remember Rocket Ismail getting a really long one to beat the Skins on opening day in like 99 or 2000, but it's kinda foggy... and I don't remember if that was on the road. But anyway is that one of them? :laugh1: :starspin

EDIT: Yup, found it. It's the first part of the article. Ahhh memories :) --> http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/polls/sports/skins_dallas112.htm

I love Miles Austin. Roy Williams? That is where most of my hate is coming from. I am slowly letting Romo off the hook for his part in getting rid of TO, but he better win a playoff game. If I were just a TO fan why would I still be on this board when he is having a horrible season? DURRRRR

I prefer home grown talent. Never liked the hired gun approach to fix an offense. It never seems to work out for us.

To bad TO is a selfish headcase. Wish he could have just shown up and played ball. oh well.

RW had nothing to do with TO being here or not.

How long was the TD pass from Quincy to Rocket in 2001 to beat the Skins at DC?

Crayton's TD catch to beat the Skins at home his rookie year in 2004 was just under 40 yards(39 yards). Still a good play and win.

It was 64 yards, but we already were ahead when it happened.

Here are all of them in franchise history (on the road, fourth quarter or OT, go-ahead TD passes of 40 yards or more) --

Dec. 18, 1966, at the Giants -- Craig Morton to Bob Hayes, 41 yards
Nov. 12, 1989, at the Cardinals -- Troy Aikman to James Dixon, 75 yards
Sept. 12, 1999, at the Commanders -- Aikman to Rocket Ismail, 76 yards
Oct. 11, 2009, at the Chiefs -- Tony Romo to Miles Austin, 59 yards
Oct. 11, 2009, at the Chiefs -- Romo to Austin, 60 yards
Nov. 8, 2009, at the Eagles -- Romo to Austin, 49 yards
