Here's another poll on Austin to see if the last one has substantially changed.

1. Austin is going to become one of the top 3 WRs
2. Austin is going to contribute as a 4th or 5th WR including special plays
3. Austin is going to make an occasional play
4. Austin is going to play mainly STs assuming he stays healthy
5. Austin sucks

Occasionally make a play.
Occasionally run the wrong route.
Occasionally slip on a route.
Occasionally catch a deep pass.
Occasionally drop an easy pass.
Occasionally make a great catch.
Occasionally...

Weird poll since he is almost certainly going to start the season as the #3 WR.

I think he has the ability to be a top 3 WR on the team but he has to prove it on the field when it counts

I think frankly, it's going to be a task getting the #2-#4 WRs the ball on passing plays w/ Witten/Bennett and/or maybe 1-2 RBs in there.

These guys don't have to be superstars, just be clutch when we need it.

Honestly, I think PC and Sammy would out play him. I only dispise PC because he talks too much. Let your play do the talking.

right now I doubt Austin would be in the league if it wasn't for his speed. he'll make a play from time to time if he isn't hurt.

Perhaps, but with the double tight end formation, and the possibility of Felix sharing the backfield with Barber, there may not be the opportunities for three WRs on the field. Crayton will be #2.

Make a couple of plays, miss a couple of games, not be around next year. Sorry, but speed doesn't always translate into being an NFL WR.

I voted: make an occasional play

+1

Austin will also find some way to get hurt too.

Unfortunatly, I think Roy Williams will miss some games too.

I think he'll make plays by virtue of being fast, and as long as you have Witten, Felix and Romo making plays, it will open things up for guys like Austin.

I think the 3 spot will be WR by committee. That committee being Austin, Hurd, and Ogletree.

I think the ball is going to go to numerous receivers each game although some will get hot in a game and Witten will get his.

I think you may be right esp to start with. Someone out of that group will emerge as a Romo favorite IMO. Or two.

:starspin Good point, Dooms. He has the ability to be a top 3 guy on the team, but I am also concerned about him proving it on the field. I have to say that I am also a little concernd about his noted drops that he's had in camp as well. In any case, he has to prove his consistency on the field.

That about sums it up.
