5'10" 170 guy? Yeah. I'd say so. 48 is a medium which is what I wear. I'm 6' 180 so you should be fine. Good luck finding a 46 (Small) if you don't think you'll fit a 48.

If you're 5'10" and only 70 pounds, you have problems beyond wanting to know what size jersey to get.

I am 5' 6" 165 lbs and a 48 fits me just fine IMO. But I like wearing my shirts a little loose, being that I have a decent size "beer muscle". To me a size 48 AUTHENTIC jersey fits like a size XL t-shirt.

I actually just bought an authentic Romo jersey yesterday. I'm 6'0" about 185lbs and I bought a 54. I like the way it fits, definitely not snug, but not overly loose either. I wouldn't go any smaller than a 52 for the size you're talking.
