I thought I read somewhere that being on PUP means you have to be out the first six games of the season...

Is that true?

Didn't see on DallasCowboys.com that they are projecting him to make a comeback any time soon...

From Wikipedia concerning PUP list:

A player who finishes the preseason still on the PUP list can then be placed on the regular-season PUP list. Such players must sit out the first six games their team plays. At that point, teams have a five-week window in which to allow the player to begin practicing; from the day the player begins practicing, teams have an additional 21-day window in which to decide whether to activate the player to the 53-man roster. If either of those deadlines pass, the player must remain on the PUP list for the remainder of the season.[1]

Agree, no Green, no Nzeocha. But I think by remaining on PUP or NFI as Nzeocha is, unless they changed the rules.
They either get moved to IR or are released. At least PUP, not sure about NFI

Same rules for both. No waivers, just like being on IR.

I doubt he can help us this year. He didn't even have a training camp as I recall. I'm all for putting him on the shelf this year, having him get healthy and in shape, and showing us if he's going to be a player or not next season. I really hope he can be, because our depth at tackle is kiddie pool shallow.

Pretty sure Green can help way more than the scrub CBrown we signed.

Disappointed in the whole Chaz Green situation.

It is what it is.

Green was probably not ready to help us on gameday this season whether injured or not. At best he would've been the swing tackle.

Getting injured was not ideal and missing training camp, but he will have an entire season to improve strength, work on technique and get NFL coaching. If he's not a factor next season, then everyone should be upset.

I disagree he was a bad pick... We have a definite need for a right tackle... The plan all along was probably to groom him to be the future right tackle... he has the pedigree to fill that role...

I agree.

I would just prefer someone drafted as high as he was be able to get on the field and contribute in his rookie year.
