Brian Johnson would be a perfect replacement for Moore.

Key is take their time, not too much as you can lose options but interview as many as you can until after the SB , if one of those guys off those teams are a hard target, wait and interview them before making final decision.

looks like Kliff Kingsbury has relationship with MM when they were with the saints in 2004, that Darkhorse and not sure KK wants to be an OC.

Strong possibility Philadelphia’s OC is Indianapolis’s new coach and Brian Johnson is elevated to OC

Why we haven’t really heard anything from Indy despite them having an opening for… 3 months now?

Outside of Johnson for OC, the more and more i'm thinking about it you need to go like in college, since you have Big Mike calling the plays anyway. Have 2 guys focusing on Game plan for each of there respective tasks Running and Passing come up with game plan and let mike call the plays:
OL/RB / Running Game Coordinator - Chris Foerster or Jeff Nixon
QB /Passing Game Coordinator - Brian Johnson or Matt Nagy
The league only recognized the 3 coordinator positions (O, D, ST) as promotions for assistant coaches.

OL/RB / Running Game Coordinator and QB /Passing Game Coordinator would be lateral moves.

Probably because Indy has to decide on a Head Coach...

If we hire Nixon will it be an upgrade? I do like his experience with the rb's.

I don't know the inner workings of the coaching staff for certain, but I'm convinced that Kellen Moore only designed the pass plays and that the RB coach and OL coach designed the run plays.
- They seemed to lack cohesiveness between run and pass.
- i.e. Neither one was really designed specifically to setup the other.

The 49ers are the opposite. They over-acheived with the rookie no-name QB because the offensive scheme is very integrated with regards to run and pass.

I think hiring a RB coach as OC would be a step towards integrating the run game with the pass game.

Cowboys desperately need to do what they did with the defense, a modern scheme that works in today's NFL. To Quinn's credit, he altered his scheme to be more effective, MM needs to do the same. Bring in innovative, young assistants that are well adversed of what is working currently to assist with MM to create a scheme that plays to Dak's strengths.
