Hey guys, here is a quick look at the bargain quality players available in free agency at positions of need. Listed 2014 team and their age.

Joe Barksdale - St.Louis - 27
Ryan Harris - Kansas City - 30
Gabe Carimi - Atlanta - 27
Jake Long - St.Louis - 30
Byron Stingily - Tennessee - 26

Linebacker

Geno Hayes - Jacksonville - 28
Mason Foster - Tampa Bay - 26
Jacquian Williams - NY Giants - 26

Any other options out there? Or positions they will address possibly in free agency? Think we will hear a few of these guys mentioned in the coming days IMO.

I truly believed Barksdale would have been signed by the Commanders by now...

Awesome post dantheman.

do you have a list of cb's? everyone seems to forget about them.

I just think between Patmon scandrick Carr and corner from New Orleans, we will end up drafting last corner if we carry a 5th. Not a position I see us addressing anymore in free agency

Red Bryant - Not sold on our options at NT.

Stephen Bowen - No clue how he fared in Washington, but he had a very good last season in Big D. We could use some interior pass rush with the loss of Melton.

When we sign Hardy..

I'd sign Rolando asap. Then Tillman on a 1 year.

CB: Carr/Oscan/Tillman/Patmon/Mo

LB: Lee/Rivers - Rolando/Gachkar - Hitchens/Jasper

DL: Hardy/Gardner- Crawford - McClain - Lawrence/Mincey

Draft rolls around: 2 routes ---> 1) Get Gordon/Gurley if available.

2) Go defense first 3 rounds. OO --> Dawson ---> Bennett for DE/LB/DT in the first 3 rounds.

Route 2 would turn the defense into a sky is falling we are going to **** defense into a pretty nasty D very fast.

Could always go CB/LB/DL as well, but I do think we will get 3 key defensive pieces in the draft.

Broaddus said on Talking Cowboys that the front office had several players they were interested in signing in the near future. He did not mention any names, just said the team had a list of some players they were interested in.

Raji from Green Bay might be a good pick up in my opinion, especially if its a cheap "kick the tires" type of deal.

You forgot Mo. He will be on this team next hear. However, Carr may not.

Was thinking he would be a good fit possibly rotating @ both 1/3 techs if reasonable, even SE on run downs possibly. Would be good depth if BP ends up winning the starting role @ 1. I don't know what pix Hayden has but he's like Velcro on this team?

Thanks for some perspective and great effort(appreciate it).

Who is BP?

Raji is a big fat dude who played the 1 in a 3-4. He's not coming here. Would he be better than Hayden? Yeah, but we aren't going to sign him because he doesn't "fit the bill".

I'd rather sign Wilfork to a 1 year deal if he's still available.

Just a big ol fat dude:D Just thought that was funny tbh, but he could contribute under 1.5. He played the 5 too in that scheme I believe (1 tech w/some wiggle in this scheme but admittedly would want a 3 potential).
