Man I look at the free agent and for the exception of 2-3 players every year, all the rest are average to worthless junk. And guess what? they all want record breaking money!.

:puke: :puke:

You want litto? Not gonna happen He probably thinks He's Dieon Sanders and deserves too much money. Same with Samuels.

Moss? You know how much He wants? Long term deal, not gonna happen.

Besides that Who is their worth giving a arm and a leg for?

Lets see what our guys got and draft what We need..

That's the problem with the draft though, if you think you are on the cusp and just need an impact player or two, the draft will yield one... in 2-3 years. In that case, history says 60% of your roster will have turned over, moreso for a team like Dallas who had like 13 pro-bowlers.

When a CB like J. Reeves can land a $20 million contract, you know things are all messed up.

good point - that is crazy money for Reeves.

Lito would be an excellent addition but I doubt we can afford him unless he would be willing to be flexible with the contract structuring....

florence....reeves...backups getting big money! barrian getting randy moss money...its a joke...i am glad we have not overpaid for these guys...bottom line is this...florence and reeves didnt get better when they got these contracts so what are these teams thinking????????????? stupid moves...jerry learned his lesson with henry, rivera and ferguson...over 30 means injury...henry injury prone too and was only 25 when he came here...dont overpay, wait til everyone else does then pick from the scraps...most free agents are already scraps that agents build up to be stars!

That is putting it mildly.

Just put even more emphasis on drafting well.

The first thing that has to be address is how players get paid in the NFL draft. There is no way in hell a rookie is worth 60 million dollars.

I am really stunned by this. I was pretty certain that he would get no offers and we could resign him at a cheaper rate for special teams. I guess the Texans saw something none of us saw.

You're wrong. The Texans saw enough of Reeves to throw $20 mil. at him. It was mysteriously emailed videos they received from someone named 'Eduncan22' ( )which eventually convinced them.

They're slobbering over his speed.

And thats why the cowboys have not won a playoff game in 10 years. thinking like yours. if this team were already good enough. they would have won a playoff game by now. stop fooling yourself.

if you can afford one of the 2-3 top notch FA's then do it but dont be fooled by the rest of the trash.

Look at reeves...The Texans are not improving their roster, sorry:banghead: .

Not true.

I've been on the record, long before he left, that he was going to get 2-3 mill per year.

People are shocked, but the NFL is a "money bizne$$"

I agree on the Texans.Reeves flatout sucks.but D. florence, could have challened Henry for the starting job, with the loser being the 3rd corner.and then use one of our 1's on a corner who would have been the 4th for a year, until he was ready to start. we would then be set in the secondary. as of now, it's still a big problem.

...but you're not on record for saying that Reeves, who is a third-string level cornerback, was going to be paid "2-3 mil. per year". Big difference. Shoot, Justin Smith just got paid by the 49ers. Oy.

Reeves got a larger contract than Gay, per PFT:

Patriots have lost cornerback Randall Gay to New Orleans, according to Adam Schefter of NFL Network.
Gay has agreed to terms on a four-year, $17.8 million deal, which includes a $3.75 million signing bonus and $6.9 million in guaranteed money.
