Reeves got a larger contract than Gay, per PFT:

Patriots have lost cornerback Randall Gay to New Orleans, according to Adam Schefter of NFL Network.

Gay has agreed to terms on a four-year, $17.8 million deal, which includes a $3.75 million signing bonus and $6.9 million in guaranteed money.

You are correct, but the market is so high because of the termendous amout of money made in this business.

Although I kind of wonder about that. With teams like Denver saying that they can't go with the current CBA anymore and teams like Chicago, Tennessee, and Pittsburgh so unwilling to spend money despite having tons of cap space, you have to wonder if they are really making that much money.

My *guess* is that they probably are, but greed has a way of making the rich cry poverty.
