Coors Field was rocking the last 2 games, it is amazing that the Rockies were able to even make it into the playoffs let alone the World Series. They are going to gave a big task beating the Sox or Indians. I grew up a RedSox fan and became a Rocky fan when Denver got the expansion team it will be tough to choose who to route for if the Sox make it, but I think I will be leaning towards the home town Rockies.

I just hope the long lay off doesn't hurt the Rockies like it did Detroit.

Right. Looks like the Indians-Red Sox series will go at least six.

It doesn't matter how long the BoSox/Cle series goes. The World Series starts October 24th even if Cleveland wins the next two. They don't have flex scheduling like the NBA. They pick a date and stick with it no matter what.

Very stupid IMO...

That's silly. Seems awfully late in the month - when would a game seven be?

In the NBA Finals, they pick a date and stick with it too.

They only do the flex scheduling in the earlier rounds.

I tip my hat to the Rockies. That was a whooping.

Bob Melvin has to take some of the blame. We had a chance to prevent them from getting into the playoffs. Had we simply won one more game in the final 3 game series against the Rockies, they wouldn't have even been in the postseason. We just didn't take them seriously in that last regular season series. Once we sealed homefield in the National League, we just lost intensity and didn't take them seriously. We were more worried about the Padres and wanted to play the Rockies. Melvin got cocky and rested our players in the final game. That was poor strategy on his part. It's just common sense that you don't allow a team that is as hot as Colorado was into the playoffs. Baseball is streaky and you don't allow a team that was on a 15 or 16 game win streak into the playoffs.
