AZ loss to Detroit hurts us

Again how does Arizona losing help Dallas? The more teams that have a chance to finish with the same record (likely 4 losses) the better.

I mean think of this logically.

If Dallas need two teams teams to finish 13-4 with them, which scenario gives them a better shot?

Two teams in the pool or four?
The seeds wouldn't count the 5th team. Would only be the division winners so seeds 1-4

Any teams out of GB, Arizona, Tampa and Rams should lose every week will help Dallas.

Whether you think those teams won't win or not doesn't matter, Dallas fans should cheer for those teams to lose every week

You do realize Dallas plays Arizona right? So for Dallas to get to 13-4, that means they have to win out. If Dallas wins out, the Cards have a minimum of 5 losses now. They can't help and be one of the teams that makes a three way tie with us and the Bucs at 13-4.

We needed Arizona to have only three losses when we played them if we wanted them to help us to get in a three way tie if the Bucs finished 13-4.
You do realize that means the Rams only have 4 losses and would knock Arizona to the 5th seed or lower. Arizona losing today absolutely helps Dallas but you think what you want

That's assuming the Rams win out. Which they likely won't with road games at Minnesota and Baltimore.

But again, you are missing the point. The more teams that have a chance to finish 13-4 the better. It's quite possible the divisional winner from the NFCW will be a 5 loss team. So again, the Cards losing doesn't help us, contrary to what you keep claiming. It would have been beneficial to us to have them finish at 13-4, which seemed likely until they choked against the Lions today.

By losing today, you've removed one team that can finish 13-4. If the Rams lose a game, which seems likely, then we are left with just hoping the Packers lose just once, not twice.

So no, the Cards losing didn't help us. The Cards winning today would have been meaningless for us because we still control our destiny against them.

Let's change this around. How did the Cards losing "help" us? The only way it helps us is if you think that we will be the lone team standing with only 4 losses and everyone else will have 5 or more. But that just ignores reality that the Bucs have a soft as crap schedule. You can say ignore that and just hope everyone keeps losing but you have to look at this realistically and not pie in the sky.

It wouldn’t be so bad for TB to get the #1 seed and Dallas sitting at #2. Still need GB to lose one but it looks like Tampa has it wrapped up. Anything to avoid the frozen tundra……

The defense is going to pick off Murray multiple times and Jalen Hurts and Minshew are both INT fests waiting to happen.

We can win games 20-10 or 17-6, no problem. We're the 2013 Seattle Seahawks. We even got the Richard Sherman INT master in Diggs and the all world baller on defense in Parsons. Oh yeah, and the same D coordinator.

Based upon hypothetical analysis, maybe...but based upon the Dallas history, after-action-reports for about five seasons is probably more on target right now.

Someone who gets it.

The Rams can still win that division and finish with 4 losses by the way. We should absolutely be pulling for them to win out. Dallas winning out means Arizona has at least 5 losses by default. So the Rams are the only other team we can have a multi way tiebreaker with if GB/AZ have 5 losses each and Dallas/TB have 4 losses each if the Rams win out they will also have 4 losses and Dallas wins that tiebreaker as well.

Statistical propability is offered at most Universities...this is a football board. Let's climb down from the glow in the dark zone and relate to fans wanting to share their football experiences and enjoyments of the game.

At the Air Force Academy, we started off with Calculus II...but I try to talk football mostly, here...

Huh? Cowboys win out and they get the #1 seed. Packers will lose one more time.
