Azur Kamara (43)

Yea, I agree. Just saying since the starters are set, and maybe even the 2nd string guys too due to draft/blooming(Armstrong?) the way he can make the 53 is if he stands out on STs and obviously has that potential to become a more refined edge/LB in the near future.
I agree. To me he's practice squad bound again. Things can change in a offseason....Lawrence and/or Gregory could be gone next offseason. Armstrong could be gone.

He's a great story and I'm rooting for him. I don't see him making the team though, PS if he clears waivers. His best bet is probably as a pass rushing LB or something along those lines. He just doesn't have the weight to hold up at DE. Sure, he could fatten up but by adding that much weight it'd be like learning to play with a small human hanging on to you.

He's a keeper...period! He's raw now but DEFINITELY a development project. Reminds of the Packers DE from the early 2000's (of African descent as well) nicknamed "KGB". He was raw at first but turned into a Probowl monster. I don't know if there is room on this roster for Kamara unless we release a veteran. I can only hope that he makes it to the practice squad. He consistently gets pressure on the QB. Is a little light in the behind weight-wise, but can easily put on 20+ lbs of muscle.
He's underweight for his position. If the Cowboys could get him to the PS and put him on a weight room and diet regimen for a year, he could be somebody next year.

The staff doesn't need any help from us to make their personnel decisions.

Azur Kamara is a LB who can be fairly useful as a pass rusher, if need be.

He's raw but could prove useful, if the staff agrees to give him the chance.

He's listed as 6'3", 245. It's good for a LB and light for a DE. Maybe a LB,
if the staff sees fit to utilize him in that capacity. If not, ST is possible, too.

I been saying he needs to be at LB. Try him in a transition as he is on the PS this season.

And can you imagine if they did listen to this site about player personnel. 0-16, now 0-17 every year, but many on here will love it, a top pick every year. Only not to give a 2nd contract to. Even if the all were Emmitt's, Micheal's and Troy's. But yet they cry for a top FA every year. Does not make any sense. But they never do.

He is about the same size as Gregory when he came into the league. He is 22 yrs old and he will grow and naturally gain weight as he matures.

Excellent. Keep tabs on him when he's selling insurance.

maybe if this team was 3-4 defense coached team. this guy is talented but i dont think our scheme and his size mixes well.

This is exactly the scheme this young man needs. He is a lighter and less talented version of TJ Watt. He needs a 3-4 system that can support him in sprinting to the QB or dropping back in short coverage.

But having him pound big offensive tackles is going to shorten his career opportunities due to injury. He is a classic JACK (Rush) LB in a 3-4 scheme.

The guy has his own show on Tuesday night cable TV.

That's not enough?

Jeez Kamara let someone else have shot at this life.

What's the point of that?

The point is, we do this for entertainment and the staff makes their judgments to affect the team. They are close to the action every day, while we are not. In other words, we, at times take our opinions too seriously and thereby, criticize the staff, despite they're at a serious advantage to be correct.

We merely speculate what we see in very limited amounts. It stands to reason that they don't need us to correct them, while we merely speculate on what we believe to be the case.

That's not to argue that we're not entitled to state our opinions. That's the reason for this website, after all. That's the point I'm making, as best I can.

Great story ...... He will probably b able to be slipped on the practice squad.

His size compared to TJ watt?

Dude has some natural ability but needs to add some serious weight if we wants to play DE

Having been on the practice squad last year I would've thought they'd bulk him up some by now. I cant say that hasn't happen, but I thought they said he was 235lbs or so and I can't imagine him being smaller and making even the practice squad.

I don’t think he will ever contribute to any significant extent.
