Gone are the days of glory. Has been for 30 years and it just keeps getting worse. Always will be a boys fan just a realistic one. It’s a terrible organization living on its past achievements and loyal fan base. The only direction the Jones care about is tied to the Forbes list. Hopefully one day this team will be able to overcome its greedy owners and hoist another championship for all the fans…..someday….

If you're 60+ you have fond memories of Cowboys consecutive SBs. So the down slide over last 30 years of losing has been painful but tolerable because of the memories. I think it has become easier to realize the Dallas Cowboys with Tex Schram, Tom Landry, Jimmy Johnson that we loved has ended. Mediocre is the future going forward for this organization. The fans aren't priority anymore. Greed and self image has the priority. But I will always be Dallas Cowboys fan. The expectations for the team is within reason.

Well I cried at the Ice Bowl as a little kid. I've spent thousands of dollars on the team, traveled the country, even dated a cheerleader but Jerry has taken the love of my life and made it an acquaintance and as with any acquaintance you acknowledge them when they walk in the room but then just kind of walk away as you are on to the next thing.
Would you tell us more about the cheerleader, please!!

I'm in my 40s and I remember becoming a fan in the mid-80s and looking at NFL history books that showed Cowboy Super Bowls teams from the 70s and thinking it seemed so long ago.

That's how our newer fans must feel about our Super Bowls in the 90s, looool.

I'm 58...been through it all....used to get worked up and pissed off. My brother's family went through an unimaginable tragedy in 2005. Completely changed my perspective on life. I get worked up over fans that take it so seriously, it shouldn't bother, it's none of my business....but, I just don't get how important this is to some.

Said it many times. Cowboys pre Jones family was a football team,. Current version is a marketing organization that by the way plays football. Clint Murchison was an ideal owner. Knew what he didn't know. Didn't seek cameras or microphones. Simply hired the best people and let them do their jobs while staying out of their way. I expect a lot of us old timers to post a lot less now that the Jones family is barely giving an effort to win. If they don't care why should we? I would not be surprised if this team won less than five games this year. GM asleep at the wheel. Unqualified HC. Mediocre QB. Both lines a mess. Last two drafts not looking good. Things might get very ugly. I guess there is always the draft zone for some good football banter.
The current NFL allows you to bounce back strong and contend at anytime much like Washington has done from last year to this year.
The Commanders got lucky and hit on a hot, talented quarterback.

Agree with every word here.
Should things become very ugly, it will be laid at the feet of Jerruh Jones and Son.

Maybe one day we'll see it again, but I fear Stephen will be worse than Jerry.
I’m starting to have that fear that too!
Hard to imagine anyone worse than Jerry but if anyone can trump Jerry it would probably be his son. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Been a fan for 57 years. Became a fan since before the Ice Bowl and am not changing now. Last year was TOUGH! Lots of “fans” blaming Dak but the offensive line was pretty offensive. Hope he will come back healthy and Jerry can get Steven to turn loose of some money and get CeeDee and Micah some help. I do believe Jerry over spent on Dak’s contract. After all Jerry does own the team.

I used to live and die with the Cowboys. That's been my team since the mid 60s. While I still want them to win it all, my perspective has changed a lot over the years. There's much more important things in life than football and rodeo too, for that matter.

No matter who owns, GMs, coaches or QBs the team, I will enjoy watching them.

That's right Jake and they have some outstanding players in Parsons, Lamb, and Overshown and should get some outstanding players in the upcoming draft. Hopefully, we get the dominant running back that we need.

Exactly. If I was in my teens or early 20s I'd probably be more worked up about it, but now that I'm older with kids and dealing with real life stress, I'm really just incredulous to what this team does.

Fan since 1978 and I'm not going anywhere. If we're Cowboys 4 Life, what can we do? I just wish young people knew the great history of the Cowboys. Starting a new dynasty in the present would be sooooo nice.
Me and you might be the same exact age, and I won’t go anywhere. But I’m not giving The Jones family one more dollar!!!

I am only 10 years younger than Jerry. I will remain a fan but I also know I am not going to see another Super Bowl with Dallas in it.

Guys like Jerry & Roger Goodfella are on this half baked mission that’s increasing schedules and over exposing the product .

No way physically they should go over 14 games and get rid of Thurs night football. Ratings are down double digits for these playoffs . Injured players piling up.
Totally with you. And eliminate the 7th seed. Totally watering it down & overexposing it.

Exactly . They are ruining a beautiful sport for an NBA model with meaningless Tues night games like Charlotte Hornets vs Washington Wizards type evtertaimrnt .
