I think the team should kick the tires with Cooper as the back up in the next game. If the argument is Moore is playing against better defensive players, give Cooper a chance. see ho he does.

I would hate to carry 3 QBs on the roster in place of another position. If Das is hurt for any length of time, does anyone have any faith in Moore to carry this team? it will be 2015 all over again. We know what moore is and will be. this is the best you will ever see with him. lets see if this kid is really got something.

Exactly, if no Dak, we are in trouble with Moore in there. Rush even though a rookie, he looks far better than Moore. So we can't be any worse with him, and he has much more upside.
So what if Rush supposedly played against lesser players. I call bS on that one.
There is not that much difference between 2nd and 3rd team players at this level. Not that much for the way Rush handles the game better than Moore that is.

I'd be extremely tempted to go with Cooper Rush as our #2 QB if I were on the staff and had a say in the decision. To be honest, I'll be surprised if Luke McCown is retained when push comes to shove with the final picks. The staff certainly doesn't appear anxious to see what he's got, nor afford him the opportunity to adjust any further to their offense. With the way Cooper Rush has taken the "bull by the horns," it's understandable how they might be reluctant to allow McCown to interfere with Rush's development. If Rush doesn't secure backup #2 status this year, I'll be betting on him to do just that in 2018.

Hopefully they will make the right decision. They did it last year when they stayed with Dak when Romo got healthy. Remember when everyone was saying be cautious with Dak as it's just preseason?? IMO is Rush keeps this up he just moved up the depth chart to #2.

The problem with saying Moore is facing better players or has less supporting staff is the fact that Rush has done it with whoever he has on the field. It's not like Moore has been good and then they move some players out and then they struggle. Rush took the same players that Moore sucked with last night and went right down the field.

If we lose Dak it is trouble no matter what but I'll take my chances with Rush, a young guy with a much higher ceiling. He hasn't shown he can't handle stuff so far. Let him play 2nd string next week and see how he does. We know what Moore can do at this point and that is to barely drive the bus. Mostly it is on the side of the road hitting all the pot holes when he is in there....

Considering what the fans have seen...anybody would take Rush over Moore. With this coaching staff...who knows.

He doesn't have Romo's arm, but in pretty much every aspect he does resemble Romo. He reads the field very quickly and gets the ball out.
Quick release is more important than arm strength.

On an interesting side note, Moore is failing but not because of lack of arm strength. He has been late and inaccurate on throws and has had problems making quick decisions; however, few if any problems have appeared to be a directly related to arm strength.

Hate to say it-- but virtually the entire FO has backed Moore up. They liked him as a backup last year until he got hurt, and they are continuing to voice their trust and support for him.

All it will take is a better performance from him next week, and the "controversy" will be over.

If they really like Rush-- then the guy that will get cut to keep him is McCown.

Guess I missed that tidbit somehow. Can't help but wonder if he'll make the team anyway, unless they paid him more than they're willing to part with.
I heard 250k to sign but I have not verified.

They cut a DB a few years ago that was signed that offseason and guaranteed 1M.

You are right about Moore....he is being late on everything but I disagree a bit on arm strength. He has skipped several balls short and that is purely arm strength and the fact he cant throw a ball more than 15 yards downfield with out floating it is an arm strength issue.

Yeah and the announcers we're sucking up to him the whole time.
