Is everyone comfortable with our backups to Jason Ferguson in the NT spot? I know it's not a talked about position because it's not a glamerous position, but, I don't feel very comfortable the current backups. Ratliiff and Montivious (sp) is all we have...

This somehow bother me, and I've stated it before...anyone else worried that if Jason goes down what will we do?

It would be nice to draft someone and at least develop them soon.

Hopefully Fergy can stay healthy!

I'm curious as to how M. Stanley is doing.

I haven't heard anything on him recently. However, when he was temporarily with the Jags, BP commented that they did a pretty good job teaching him the position.

I don't follow the draft like you guys do, so, is there any prospects that we might get and that I could go read about?

We stayed pretty healthy last season, but...?

Maybe P. Soliai from Utah?

Probably a Day 2 pick.

As for a Day 1 pick, possibly T. Tyler (late Round 1 early/mid Round 2), though a lot of people on this Board have mentioned he's a knucklehead.

I know we brought him back to "talk dirty to the QB"...and he does have the size, however I'm still not comfortble with that particular position.

With the 4-3, I would'nt worry as much, but with this 3-4 (and I'm no expert), but from what I understand, the NT in the 3-4 is a vital clog...and if he goes down...?

Thanks, Woods...I will go read about these guys.

I'm from Utah and I must not have paid much attention to Soliai...I'll check him out now...

Yeah I've been hearing that Soliai name tossed around, l do agree that we need a good young draft choice to be behind Ferguson, guy looks like he has the size and everything else we need to get the job done.

DT Shaun Smith, Cincinnati (compensation: none): Just a big, ol' 325-pound anchor who doesn't move all that well but who won't be moved, either. His numbers will never be very impressive, as evidenced by just 44 tackles and no sacks in 34 games, but he will eat up blockers inside and allow linebackers to flow to the football. Occasionally, he'll even get a little penetration. He can be a solid No. 3 tackle in some team's rotation.

This guy seems interesting as well - esp. that we don't have to give draft picks!

Ratliff and Ellis seem to be the versatile alternates on the roster before this upcoming draft.

Getting a NT on day one would be good, along with an extra corner and some o-line depth.

There's only two things I hate in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.
