Backup QB problem

:lmao::lmao::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

too funny with certain posters and their agenda's. The Moore agenda fans I find the funniest.

What are you going to say when we have the #1 offense in football? Or even top 5 in football scoring 30 points per game. You going to still be blaming Moore? Only thing Moore is liable for is giving the ball to Zeke too much when he should be running Pollard more.

Did you get a chance to watch Pollard hit the hole and show off his abilities yesterday? No way Zeke Makes those plays.
Zeke would have scored a TD on at least 1 of them.

I agree. Pollard is a great compliment . He does have speed and big plays ability. We should be using both.

We need more from Elliott like he provided us in 2016 and 2018 leading the league in rushing. It not only controlled time of possession but masked our defenses weaknesses leaving them off the field.

I don’t think it’s a mere coincidence both of those years were most effective for our team in Dak era.

Yah, but what you dont see is that it was MORE about the Oline than it was about Zeke. This is now a passing offense that could use some balance. But its no longer an offense that needs to establish the run.

A perfect example why Jerry fails as a GM. It should have been obvious how bad these backups were before the season started. After watching them play in preseason it should be screaming at Jerry. With Dak coming off a major injury and also having throwing shoulder soreness, Jerry should be beating the phones to find a better backup QB.

If MM isnt knocking on Jerry's door every morning telling him the same thing, then I blame him also. We can barely move the ball in preseason let alone during the regular season with these chumps backing up Dak.
Jimmy Johnson curse lives on...no back up QB, no DTs, no back up C, and no swing tackle.

Jimmy didn't have a salary cap to manage.

The salary cap was instituted in 1994: Johnson coached the Dolphins from 1996-1999 so he did have to deal with the salary cap and managed a record of 36-28 during that time.

Pretty sure you knew the point I was making and just decided to be an ###hole.

Yes , the OL is a critical component as we saw when it first begun dominating in 2014 with Demarco Murray. But we also saw in 2015 how it wasn’t as effective with a RB by committee.

While we might not be an offense that needs to establish the run first it probably is still an effective way to control time of possession while masking our weaknesses on defense keeping them off the field .

Remember even when our offense was throwing up records numbers last year we still were coming up short cause we couldn’t hold our opponents.

Pounding the rock and dominating time of possession has led this team to the most success we’ve had since assembling this OL.

And I suspect much like it did for Romo it will take pressure off of Dak making our offense more effective while helping our defense.

I’d feel much more confident with our defense that we’d be in the playoffs if Elliott leads the league in rushing versus Dak leading the league in passing.

I think he was probably referring to his time in Dallas?

Part of the issue is that Dallas could not bring in someone like Mitch Trubisky, who signed a 1-year $2M deal with Buffalo to be a back-up, because he might be 'too good' for a back-up position with Dallas having just given Dak an extension so now Dallas finds themselves in the position they are in: a starting QB coming off a season ending ankle injury and a recent shoulder injury with no qualified back-up.
Why would that be an issue? Mitch Trubisky knows very well he is now backup material since he failed miserably in Chicago. If Trubisky doesn't want to accept them, you move on to try to find someone else who understands their "potential" and their role.

Still, it's ridiculous to use Mitchell Trubisky as an example to not have tried to bring to Dallas as Dak's backup since Mitchell Trubisky actually accepted a backup role in Buffalo for only $2 million dollars, so your argument holds no water.

was Jerry a bad GM last year when he signed Dalton?

They're not going to win if Dak does not play regardless of the backup.

…..maybe something in the film room is a problem.
This!!!! Every season, Rush, Steele and the rest of the lame back ups that we bring to every camp. It's frustrating to see other teams 3rd string QB playong better than Daks #1 back up and Dak is coming off a season ending ankle injury and right shoulder problems. This FO needs to be more proactive than reactive.

We had a good backup last year and it didn’t matter. No Dak no win.
