Bad Coach/Good Coach

Wow!It really amazes me,how many people blame the coach when his players dont execute.It's always the coaches fault.Yet,when his team plays well,the coach is the greatest coach ever.I'll agree,sometimes I'll scratch my head because of a questionable call,but rarely all blame should fall all on the coaches shoulders.

just like any manager or supervisor.

so,how many years would you allow your coaches scheme to develop before you fire him for his failures?

With a young new Coach I would give them alot of slack to build confidence.

With a Hall of Fame coach I think you know what they have left after at the most 5 years ......

Parcells has a 3 year rule with his players ..... Why is he not held to the same accountability?

well our whole team never failed all at once.

seems like according to you a player is never responsible for making plays, if he fails its the coaches fault


Missd tackles? Coaches fault he didnt teach them to tackle

Blown coverage coached fault he didnt teach them to cover

missed block ooops coaches fault the lineman was not taught he was supposed to block


QB gets INT coaches fault he didnt coach the QB not to throw INT

RB gains only 1 yard coaches fault he forgot to coach the RB to run farther


WR drop coaches fault he didnt coach the receivers to catch the ball

Why are they still here if they are to blame? If I keep an employee that is not performing well ...... is that not my fault as the boss?

And I have been accused many times on this board of being a Parcells apologist .....

If he comes back I will support him ....

But I dont think he has been the same guy since his brother died ....

Well I dont agree with that ...... Its Parcells job to determine if its the players fault ......

Thats part of his job. ya know?
