Looking at the picture, he could have been eyeing westbrook who is in the bottom of the picture and easily could have gotten to the 35 if Garcia went that direction. I'm thinking that when Garcia rolled out to the left James figured out he was going to Greg Lewis. But before that happened I think Westbrook was his responsibility.
IMO, there are two things wrong with this picture
A - the MLB has the responsibility of covering the sideline, but also to watch Westbrook. Speedy Gonzalez couldn't do that
B - 3 are rushing and one is covering the back, that leaves 7 men to cover the sidelines and deep middle (end zone). There had to be a breakdown in the secondary.
I find it hard to believe that the left sideline was the MLB's responsibility.
