Bad Feeling....Cowboys will lose

I have a really bad feeling that the Cowboys will lose a close one on Saturday against the Eagles..

I just can't see the Eagles losing to us for a 3rd time. The reason i feel this is the following:

1. Cowboys are confident they will beat them.
2. What was the parade of those "Champions of the East" caps.... who cares...don't bring them out.
3. Already all the media are saying that the Boys are going to the Super Bowl against the Chargers....this will go into their heads as they can't get beat...take the Eagles lightly...
4. Wade has never won in the playoffs...

Let's hope I am wrong... I really want them to win and prove me wrong...

I have been a die hard fan for many years going back to those Danny White, Gary Hogeboom Days where whenever Cowboys had a meaningfull game... they would self destruct..

Your fear reminds me what I felt entering the 1998 playoff game against the Cardinals. We had swept Arizona in the regular season, but if memory serves the second meeting was a nail biter on the road in which we somewhat lucked out to win. I seem to remember a last-second play where Kevin Smith wasn't called for a penalty that some felt deserved to be called, but my memory could be off.

Anyway, en route to the game, I stopped at a gas station and bought a game-day Morning News. I read the analysis inside and there was something in there about how Dallas had never before beaten a divisional team three times in one season.

I immediately got the yips. I was a young teenager at the time, and just had this haunting image of that stat dictating a loss. Sure enough ...

Long story short? I don't feel that this time. By no means am I overconfident. Anything can happen. One funny bounce early and we could be toast. But this year's team feels so different. We're not backing into the playoffs like we had in so many recent appearances. We're not facing a team we were "lucky" to beat earlier in the year.

I really like the concept of playing a team we just torched 24-0 six days later at the same, air-conditioned, controlled environment. The matchups are the same, as neither team should have sudden lineup changes that makes the game different. It's all on execution, and the subtle coaching intricacies that will be enforced during the week. We'll see how it goes.

...Canadian also and I still believe in the "Any Given Sunday" rule.

Just because it hasn't been done statistically doesn't mean it can't happen.

It's not about something as trite as "believing" either. It really comes down to who executes the best and avoids the fatal errors we all know can turn the tide of a football game.

Cowboys have as good a chance as the Eagles to win the game.

Try to keep in mind that everyone hasn't won something until they do.

The Cowboys had never shut out two teams in consecutive weeks until they did it the last two weeks. Wade was at the helm.

The Cowboys are taking over the division, and it will be confirmed again Saturday night.

I'm not gonna torch ya for bringing negative vibes in here (although, I'd enjoy it!) when we are so proud of our team. This is coming together right now...as we post! It's OUR year to make some noise in the post season!
