Bad news for Free

I just re-watched that drive and Vela did not have it exactly right.

Marten didn't roll into it as much as leg whipped it.

Free was noticeably limping after the next play.

He can be seen bent over in the huddle rubbing it and then stomping the ground a few times with that leg a couple of plays later, and at that time he was no longer limping.

I like Vela's work but he is an eternal optimist. I was involved in various listservs with him in the 90s - you'd think that period would have taken the happy sunshine outta him, yet it remains.

Me, I'll wait for an MRI.

Free looked better than the Colts rooke LT Tony Ugoh who was drafted 2 rounds before him.

Free looked pretty darn good and I hope he recovers pretty fast, he is a keeper.

parcells would be ripping on Free right now for getting a sprain.

Give it a rest. This kind of obsession with Parcells is starting to pass ridiculous and is turning moronic.

Parcells didn't accomplish what he was hired to and we needed to move on to a new coach.

Leave it at that and leave the nonsense alone.

Knee injuries are freak things sometimes.

I remember seeing Flo's injury in 05. That didn't look serious, he walked off the field, and even came back in the game for a bit. Well, he had a very serious knee injury.

I've also seen guys that have nasty looking knee injuries that have no problems coming back.

I agree. Marty Barrett of Red Sox fame played 2nd base without an ACL (it was removed by the team doctor unbeknownst to him, IIRC), so seeing a guy walking or even playing isn't exactly conclusive evidence knee sprains.

The title to the thread is a bit misleading.

I thought they were giving away dogs from a Virginia kennel.
