Bad Oline: How many can we win?

As far as our Defense will take us.

With the OL play being the ? that it is. If our Defense can create some short fields for them, less likely something bad will happen. It's the long drives that will tell how good or bad they will be.

I think they will be better than most think. I believe most fans/ media think it will be a disaster, worse than last year. No doom & gloom here, I say they will perform adequately and will improve as the season goes on.

Things are not bleak. Have you guys actually watched the line in preseason? In the first 3 games they improved steadily in both pass and run blocking to a point where I would call the line pretty good at both. In week 4 the line pass blocked very well despite constant blitzing. Its very hard to run block against against 8-9 defenders in the box. For whatever reason the Vikings were playing run and stacking the line virtually every down. If it were a real game this would have been exploited heavily.
I don't think the OL situation is bleak for each and every week. The Cowboys will be in fine shape vs. the 49ers and Saints of this world.

But in the big games vs. teams with highly talented defensive fronts, their mileage will vary.

No team will play us like the Vikings did on Thursday. If they do they're getting burned. When we were going against their 7 man front alone we ran very well.

We will face the Giant D, the Carolina D, & Philly D which will all bring the bacon......If we burn any one of them I will be a happy camper.

I hope I see it happen on the field.

we will know how good our o-line will be after the first 2 games.

#1: against jacksonville, a stout defence with very good tackles
#2: against the deadskirts with Greg Williams calling the shots who knows bledsoe's strengths and weaknesses and loves to blitz

if we pass these 2 tests, then we can feel more comfortable about making a run this year

if not: hello 2005 season

our line just got finalized and will learn to play as one unit(i hope)

our o-line is gonna be the surprise of the year.

we aren't that bad off. I am more worried about gleen playing the whole season than I am with the o line.

we will win 10-11 games as long as Bledsoe is playing. If he gets hurt and we go to the backup it will be time to get ready for the draft
