LB Jaylon Smith
Notre Dame stud would be a welcome replacement for Rolando McClain’s impending free agent departure. If Sean Lee can stay healthy, he and Smith would represent a well-balanced linebacker corps with coverage ability, instincts, and plenty of range. Smith is a rare athlete with ideal size and strength for the position, attributes that Jerry Jones will certainly take notice of.

Laquon Treadwell

Can you imagine the trepidation that lining up Treadwell with Bryant would cause for NFL Laquon Treadwell Arkansas Mississippi touchdownsecondaries? Like Bryant, Treadwell is a rocked up, athletic specimen with exceptional high point abilities and ball skills. His routes need developing, and who better to teach him than Bryant, who had similar issues out of Oklahoma State. Terrance Williams simply hasn’t cut it as the Cowboys #2, and no one on the current roster offers much promise of someday manning a starting role in Dallas.

but not at 5

I'd really have a speedster opposite Dez. We need a deep threat.

Personally I like Jack better. More physical and can cover. He's played all three LB position.

I don't want WR in the 1st. What I want in a WR is a Lockett like clone. Fast and quick to complement Byrant. That probably can be found in 3rd round.

That's just me

I dont see them picking any of the postions you mention because of the value ofa rookie contract or none of those positions are top 5 five on their board. The pick will either be CB or QB for a cheap contract, or LB for board rank.

A WR capable of being a #1 makes a whole lot of sense after the early season debacle if they werent picking as high as they will be. Any WR we pick is going an afterthought in the offense with Bryant around and we dont throw enough to justify taking a #2 WR or a #1B that high in the draft

I like Pharoah Cooper. More quick then a pure speedster, but he is very strong and physical. Even being more quick then fast, still has the speed to take the top off.

Similar to Golden Tate

I think any year is a good year to have a top 5 pick. Even if we don't trade down that's still 2 picks in the top 40 and 3 in the top 70.

I don't buy this talk that we can't get an immediate difference maker with our top pick. Hell, we could snag a couple immediate difference makers if we pick smart and have a little luck.

And I'm fine with pretty much any position being selected with our top pick (minus O lineman. I'd rather us not).

A QB would be cool, assuming we're not reaching and truly believe he can be that franchise guy to replace Romo. Would love to see the right kind of prospect get mentored by Romo, by the way.

Difference maker yes. Franchise type player tbat you want in the top 5, this year is very dicey. Unlike the last time we had a top 10 pick and we got a franchise OT at 9.

That may very well be true. I'm admittedly not in tune with college football; I don't follow it at all. Just NFL.

So I was speaking in generalities. I do have the opinion that the draft is more luck than many like to admit though (I'm not saying it's ALL luck, or even mostly luck. Just more than many like to admit).

That franchise guy could certainly be there...it just might be more unlikely than other years, or he might not be as apparent.

Bralon Addison out of Oregon. Same type of player as Lockett and Brandin Cooks. currently with a 3rd-4th round grade. will prob go late 2nd or early 3rd like Lockett did this past draft.

Seeing what Lockett did this year Seattle didn't reach for the kids. Their scouts did their work.

Don't know about these kids. But hope they can catch the rock too

Bryant teaching Treadwell to run routes?

I ... don't ... think ... so.

I bet Philly gets him. Chip loves his ducks.
