This might work out for the best because the Cowboys were ok in kicking field goals because of Bailey. This might make them be more aggressive with their play calling in going for TDs instead of 3 points when it is 4th and short outside of the redzone but in the opponents territory.

I would not mind this approach. Actually, if most teams went to this approach, you would see the game be played much differently. When you know you have 4 downs to get 10 yards every time, your play calling changes based on that. 3rd and 6 is no longer a down you have to pass on. Pick up some yards on the ground and make it 4th and short.

I do think this injury will make us more aggressive to try and get TDs once we get inside the 40. I suspect we will not call plays knowing we have 3 point from anywhere inside the 37yard line in our back pocket. I can't see us trusting Nugent from very long range.

I have to say that bonking that extra point off the upright worried me some, but all in all I think he's doing alright.

Unpopular opinion: the NFL should do away with FG kickers all together. I'm fine with punting, but if you're on your opponent's side of the 50 punting should be illegal and FGs/XPs scrapped.

I have that sneaky suspicion as well.

Another concern is his short kick-offs. Just asking for a big return or TD.
