You have to be able to run the football in the red zone. But Baldy is right. Every week they throw the fade to CeeDee. Teams know it is coming and it never works. It's like the Kellen Moore WR screens in the red zone. Those never worked either.

The Play where Pollard and Dak ran into each other is Keystone cops stuff. That can't happen. The hole was there and all Pollard had to do s take the handoff and hit that hole. Even though Judon got free of Steele, it would not have mattered if it was a clean handoff. It looks like Dak messed that up because the way Pollard was running into that hole behind Martin, it looks like Dak was on the wrong page there.

I can only go by what I quoted. If you said other things in other threads...OK.
You see, I do not make up things....I quote you and address that.

You never mentioned dak. Okay? You didn't. You need to face your agenda and bias.

You never mentioned dak.

Don't expect me to read your mind or bring up something you may or may not have said elsewhere.
OK, given Dak lives in your head 24x7. I can either add Dak as the first word of my every comment or you can just assume Dak is part of every comment, from every user on every thread on this board.

then you don't have to spin yourself dizzy trying to prove a meaningless non-point

Imo Mccarthy is the one to blame more than Dak,he has no clue what he is doing in the red zone.
I'm not advocating that McCarthy hasn't been questionable at times, but isn't this the same thing that was said about Kellen & JG?

At some point, maybe everyone has to consider that it isn't the coaching.

this makes me miss the romo to dez fade, teams knew it was coming and could never stop it.

But i think we need better TE usage in the redzone, i think Schultz bein gone is hurting more than zeke tbh.

I think these things will improve the red zone offense:

Gallup returning to form

Integrating Luepke more in the offense

OL play

Schoonmaker proving he can make a clutch catch

Look…teams have figured out to sell out for the run and make Dak beat them in the red zone. To throw in the red zone you need precision AND great timing/anticipation. These are not Daks strengths. I’m not saying he’s a bad QB but those aren’t his strengths.

He likes to wait until people are open to throw. Maybe it’s trust or some other reason I don’t know. In the red zone you have to throw before their open, and when he tries to do that, it often ends up a pick. Don’t believe me? Go watch how many times receivers get nailed right as they catch the ball and go back on the all-22 and watch how long Dak is looking at them or if he double hitches. It happens a lot more than you think. Exact precision and timing are just not his best tools in his tool belt.

The better figure out how to power run in the red zone. These aren’t drives that stalled at the 15 yard line. These stall at the 2 yard line. Unacceptable. Figure it out.
theres is no doubt Dak is flawed.its the inconsistency thats annoying but when he does make the throw and the TE drops it the % goes down and then its Dak this and dak that. We should have t least 4 more Tds that i can think of that the TEs either didnt catch it or in hendershots case if he just cuts up its a TD.

I dont think the play calling has done him any favors either. Read option has been there so has the power run

LOL...you give yourself way too much credit. You think you have such grand effect on people. Dude...

Measure my effect on you. Then reduce it by 1000.

Maybe the redzone issues are an unforeseen byproduct of the Texas Coast offense? In an attempt to simplify and speed up the process for an overall QB friendly offense a negative had to manifest itself in some aspect.

Good news is, you’ve amassed a 3-1 record while not being redzone world beaters and at the same time accumulated a decent sample size that should lend to making adjustments to remedy the situation.

Not a bad early season position really - winning while not finding your best.
