The 2nd and 3rd play I would love to see more next year out of Parsons. At LB, but looking to blitz the A gaps. Centers are used to the big but slower guys. Good luck to most centers trying to take him on 1v1 without a guard helping.

Just a reminder. Parsons missed 4 games with an injury and still accumulated 12 sacks. And as Baldy points out, he commands so much attention you'd think someone else would do something on that DL. Imagine if Dallas had 1 or 2 other DL that could pressure the QB. This is one reason why I think he is one of the best in the league.

The Cowboys need to stop overspending on offense and give the defense some help. Then a QB like Rush who struggles to put up more than 20 points a game becomes a more viable option.

A lot of talk about making the offense Dak friendly. The team should be making the defense Micah friendly. What does that mean? Good interior line play where teams can't ram it down our throats in the run game. Making teams one dimensional is how this defense has thrived.
Playmaking secondary guys. Micah is one of the best defenders in the league. The team should be doing everything possible to build the right kind of defense around him.

He hasn’t improved since his rookie year. Just getting older. He’s not worth 40 million a year. I’d offer 20

Look can we keep some perspective, he did do it missing four games...

he also does it getting two and three blockers blocking him somebody else along that line should be getting more sacks and last year they did Armstrong, Fowler, williams, etc

but guess what here's the perspective,

we lost all our pass rushers this year , and almost all our corners, they were all hurt at some point tank never came back you can't be missing Sam Williams ,tank ,kneeland, and others along with overshown.. That's the big one right there he's the guy and I think maybe liafu is gonna turn into that guy as well that when Parsons is being over blocked that these guys are gonna clean up but we did not get to see that this year because everyone was injured you can't have a complete defense when you're missing so many stars I mean our backup who played more snaps he should have been the fourth guy in would be Lawson... He would've been this year's Fowler or Armstrong he could've had that kind of year had we not been so down on pass rushers and linebackers and even corners just think about this right when the corners can't cover guess what they get rid of the ball really fast guys are getting open really fast and then you can't get to the quarterback because he's getting rid of the ball easily you have to have both working at the same time on both levels they work together the coverage and the pass rush we had neither this year and yet he still was successful...

now when you lose these players you are losing the benefit of when they're paying too much attention to Parsons then they should be accumulating sacks but if you look at from the time he came back till the end of the season our defense was completely different we were up there in pressures and sacks he finished tied with the NFC leader in sacks how does that happen if these other teams are so more well equipped than the Dallas Cowboys how is it in missing four games he's still one of the top pass rushers in the NFC both in rushes and this year in sacks all these other greats that are some full time defensive ends others are not but I get what you're trying to say but if we were healthy this year and by mid season they picked up zimmer's defense better and Zimmer knew his players better if the big if they stayed healthy and had all these guys available, it would've been better...

I don't know how much you want to pay a guy like Parsons but I know this when he was out this defense wasn't doing anything when he came back and he had some at least over shown and some healthy players this look like a different defense completely they look dangerous they look like they were getting pressure the covers look better the safeties look better everybody look better so let's just get healthy that's first and foremost you can't miss that many players and expect the defense to look good...

Big fan of Baldy's work, but breaking down Parsons is basically an off day for him....without watching the video I can pretty much guess he saying Micah is a great athlete, excellent double moves, and demands you put more than one blocker on him...probably something about versatility as Zimmer lined up him in several spots this week. When it comes to an elite player like Micah I'm much more interested in the breakdowns of games where he struggles. Him racking up sacks is just the same analysis we've discussed for years now.
